We need the ability to tell the AI 1) not to attack stations we are trading with (the AI get angry if we do it) and 2) not to perform expeditions in our territory (again, THEY get to tell US not to)

Kavitha just did an expedition two tiles from my capital, and there's nothing I can do to stop them short of declaring war. Quite the diplomatic oversight.

two? only two?!

lol, yes I agree with the above. I think it is very wierd how the diplomatic options around stations are a tenth of what I could do with city states. why? I can't interact with them in any way either, I dont get it.

Also, I still find it amazing that, like civ5, there is no diplomacy network map to show who is at war with who. Hopefully a mod will come soon, but why is this constantly not around? It boggles the mind. With 42 civs I can see such a map may be a problem, but with 8 factions there is no excuse.'

all in all I am disappointed with the diplo. it's civ5 minus some things, not civ5 with some cool extras. what happened to 1/3 old 1/3 new 1/3 the same?

Absolutely. The coding must be there from civ 5, so it should not be a major job to patch in.

It really sucks not being able to stop that stuff without a DoW, and surrounding a location with units is just a pain.

Something I would love for BE and civ in general is a causus bellum system, so you can let other civs know why you are going to war or denouncing another civ, although I realise that is a much bigger ask!

YES. THIS. PLEASE.

If not for BE then please consider it for CIV VI!

I also agree with Sal. I hate the fact that I am considered the warmonger because I take cities when the enemy was the one that started the war of aggression.

One problem I see is that, if you have the ability to tell other A.I. civs why you are going to war, how do you stop the player from "lying" to them? I could see that being used in not-so-good way to manipulate the system.
