Two important questions

Im a one a former one player player who has come back now that his age of empires cd is lent.

Question One : the best i ever did on deity was 350%, is this good? and is there any strategy other than building 120 cities to win on deity?

Question two : Where can i buy the multiplayer and do people still play?

1.yes-any win is good.350% is dominant.
2.yes.It is fairly easy to win deity spaceship with 1 and only ever 1 city.
3.Yes many play.Difficult to find.
a.could get lucky in "bargain bin" section of computer store
b.someone makes..err..backs up a copy and...
c.E-bay online auction or similiar-timing is everything-when they do appear..they go quick

In my opinion, 350% is good on ANY level, provided it's your best level.

You don't need 120 cities to win on deity. You can do it with far fewer. You can also you it with twice as many! Partly style and partly challenge.

I start by thanking all for answering my question.

About age of kings deathmatch.

Theres about 10000 players worth of competition for starters. And the games can be over in thirty or forty minutes.

On the 350% game, im no longer able to repeat it, it was seven civilizations on biggest map ( earth or europe ) and i was either german or chineese. Also raging hordes.

Ended in the midst of everyone nuking me and me fighting back and then hitting alpha centauri.

Moi aussi je parle francais. J'habite a montreal, quebec.

1. 350% is pretty good but most veterans can do better. I conquered the world and had 436% without upping my score.

2. Its hard to find but hastings should have a spare copy.

Well, that is true. There's something to be said for a fun 30-minute game. But AOE is like bubblegum, whereas Civ is a full-course meal.

Turn based Civ vs. Real Time AOE? Really there is no comparison as they are totally different games... But, there is something to be said in playing a good game in less than an hour as opposed to many hours.. just different tastes.. I enjoy Civ but AOE is better for me because of the constant movement.. there is no hit then wait to get hit.. it is constant...
