Perhaps Edinburgh's effect is a bit weak, especially in comparison to Stockholm.

Knossos might also provide +2 Trade Route capacity instead of additional gold from traders when at peace, but I could see that being a little more frustrating to work with. Though, somewhat representative of its early place in history, this bonus would get less and less important as the game progresses.

Speaking of traders, I personally think Palmyra is a good candidate to inherit Carthage's effect once Carthage is inevitably added.

Would Nalanda (Religious) and Gondishapur (Scientific) be appropriate inclusions?

You’re quite right. I didn’t realise Oceania was a region the OP had listed, oops.

Sana'a -- Provides Myrrh and Frankincense luxury resources. (Timna, Mirwah, Zafar, or Ma'rib could all be substituted.)

Sana'a is on Arabia's city list.

If Dubai in the list, then Abu Dhabi should be on the list as well.

I find it interesting that neither Anchorage nor Honolulu are in the American city list for Civ VI, which means that both are potential city-states. Both Alaska and Hawaii weren't states yet during Teddy's time, but again, San Juan (already in the American city list) is in Puerto Rico, which has yet to achieve statehood.

Makes sense (though overall I think Arabia and Egypt are competing for "weirdest city list," if you ignore Scythia's list of not-cities). But the ability works just as well for any of the Sabaean or Himyarite capitals, even if Sana'a is probably the most recognizable and would double for Yemen, which I've seen people requesting representation for.

I’m personally holding out for a Hawaii civ (although I know that concept isn’t very popular), lead by Kamehameha, with war canoes as their UU. I’d also like the Māori to be a civ of their own too, being so culturally and visually distinct.

Polynesia as a blob civ just doesn’t make much sense, and taking different aspects of different Polynesian cultures and clustering them together not only feels wrong but is incredibly jarring. Hence why I’d like to see the Moai return in the form of a unique improvement suzerain bonus from a Hanga Roa city state, just like the Colossal Heads of La Venta.

Muscat is not though. Omani are Arabs but Oman was pretty isolated and was not really part of the Caliphates. That is why the Ibadi Islam, perhaps the first splinter off of Islam, is in the majority there and not anywhere else.

Bern and Zurich should be in the city-state list.

They could be any city-state type (even militaristic with the Landsknecht/Swiss Guard). Outside of a scenario, there are no maritime city-states in Civ VI.

    Bern provides the toblerone amenity?

It would be an effective luxury resource, that's for sure. Nothing smooths out issues like a big toblerone.

Maybe you can add Ostrava as an industrial city-state. My birthplace, and the third biggest city in the Czech Republic :) It could do something like increasing production from mines by +1 or +2.

Also, looks like you really like wishlists. How about a wishlist for leaders? :D

Kuwait City (Trade) - Specialists in Commercial Hub provide +6 gold instead of +4 gold.

Marajo (Cultural) - Relics and artifacts provide +4 culture each.

Palmares would probably be militaristic, although I can not think of a bonus now.

Kingston: Seaside resorts produce +1 culture and are unlocked at Flight.
Salzburg: Palace produces +4 Great Musician points and gains a slot for a great work of music.
Sipan: City center buildings are built 10% cheaper.
Chan Chan: Farms can be built on desert tiles.
Werowocomoco: You become suzerain of city states, except Werowocomoco, with one less envoy.
Calgary: Oil and cattle produce +1 gold and +1 production.

Plzeň/Pilsen can be added, too, as a trade/industrial CS. It could produce unique luxury resource - beer! Or maybe it could allow you to build brewery UI, which could provide gold and production. And maybe some amenities, too :D

La Chaux-de-Fonds or Le Locle would be the best CS for watches. As for Switzerland, I‘d choose Geneva (already present), Zurich (religious or cultural) and Basel (cultural or Industrial)

Yeah, I like to make lists. :p I hope people aren't annoyed I've been adding them to Ideas & Suggestions.

A wishlist for all potential Civ6 leaders? I might have made some in the past. I'll try to find them.

I'm still thinking of making a wishlist for Artifacts. The ones they have in the game are so boring and there are always multiple of them.
