Kościuszko was born in February 1746, in a manor house on the Mereczowszczyzna
estate in Nowogródek Voivodeship, Grand Duchy of Lithuania...
Therefore, like me, he's technically Lithuanian. :smoke:

Stanislaw Lem should be included as a Great Writer. Not just because he wrote
the best science fiction novel of all time - The Cyberiad: Fables for the
Cybernetic Age - but also because a story in that book inspired the creation of
Sim City, other sim games, and therefore... Civilization!

In addition to IgorS' comment, I would consider Alexander to be a third leader for Greece in Civ6.....:p I mean they have Sparta (Gorgo), and Athens (Pericles) in the game, what other major Greek city-state should get a leader? Thebes? Corinth? Argos? Orchomenos?

    So you are Lithuanian-Australian? :)

Of course Alexander is third Greek leader - I mean, he even says: "The armies of Greece will welcome you with open arms" or something like that :p

And when Byzantium will finally come, we will even have four Greek leaders!

If we're going by that logic then we already have a Portuguese leader in the game thanks to Phillip.
Last time I checked he couldn't build hoplites or an Acropolis or have Plato's Republic. :p

I know you are a big Macedon fan, but I still think Macedon in Civ6 is a more militaristic Greece....:p And Alexander the Great was the only justification to add them in the game. We aren't getting any second Macedonian leaders for sure.

They better make him look like his actor in that Alexander the Great biopic with Colin Farrell.

But we already have a Philip II leading Spain.....

That didn't stop the inclusion of Elizabeth I of England and Isabella I of Spain in Civ V, both of whom were known as Isabel I in Spanish.

I wasn't expecting another leader for them. Alexander is enough justification to put them in. At least he's not based off of Colin Farrell.
Gorgo is my militaristic Greece. :p

Alex in Civ6 does have a "melted Ken doll" face look, as famously described by Zaarin. :p

Once Firaxis stops adding new Civs to Civ6, I will decide whether Macedon's inclusion was a great idea. If Civs like Mali, Ethiopia, or the Maya or Inca are still missing, I will be sharpening up my.....guandao. :p

That's a fair point. Of course this is coming from one of the people on this site that thinks it was a great idea in the first place. :mischief:

Personally I like the addition of Macedon because it allows on simultaneous presence of Alexander the Great and him not being the leader of Greece.

Why does it matter to me:

Because as much as I respect enormous importance of Alexander, it has always been annoying to me how his personality "derails" Greece by turning it into Conquering Madman and ignoring its cultural and scientific aspects. It was the worst in civ5 where all Greek bonuses and personality were related to city states and war.

Of course, alternative would be Alexander as alternate leader of Greece...

I still advocate William Tell as a potential leader for Switzerland (I agree, all the others are kinda boring and not well known)

Seeing how Gilgamesh, Hiawatha and Dido could get in despite being semi-legendary, and Gorgo despite being ridiculous, and Gandhi despite not being a ruler, why not...

I checked proposed Swiss leaders and I have mixed feelings about them. On one hand, they are respected. On another hand, they are respected for doing nothing, I mean, managing to not get their nation into surrounding warfare. I definitely agree it saved lives and took diplomatic skill, it just doesn't look epic on civ leader resume. On yet another hand, one of defining traits of very characteristic Swiss nation is its capability to remain cool and neural during eras of devastating carnage, so a leader with an agenda "stay the hell out of mess" would indeed reflect Swiss traits. Such agenda could be also unique by its sheer uniqueness among explosive civ agendas :p

I had an idea for Suleiman of the Ottomans:

Qanuni: +1 Military slot for a level 3 Military Alliance, +1 Economic slot for a level 3 Economic Alliance, and +1 Diplomatic slot for a level 3 Religious Alliance

I could see Ethiopia being left out with the inclusion of Nubia. I could even see Mali being cut out due to Nubia and Kongo, because they already have the extra gold part covered, too. I obviously think we should still definitely get Ethiopia and something from West Africa, besides Carthage (which we should also get), but I could see it not being Mali.
Maybe Hausa, with Yaji I as a leader?
