Ultra Edit

Yes, surely anyone have it. ;)

I recall there being some interest in Ultra-Edit a few days back. I believe you might want to check the thread here.

Are you interested in downloading it and want to know where, do you want to know whether it's good or not or are you just making a poll about it? Maybe you could be more specific, especially since you seem to want an answer to your question.

I used it a few months ago because I needed to find a certain line in a text-file (out of hundreds), which was hard with that version of notepad I had, butwas easy in Ultraedit. I've heard from others they think it's good too.

May I ask why this is not another great move by XIII? :mischief:

And no, I don't have it and don't know what it is. So I second KD-SKMs question.

I would have moved it if I'd figured out what these guys were mumbling about... :p

I locked his earlier thread some weeks ago IIRC. Very vague.

It's a text-editor for computers (so it probably should be move to the computer forum...) like notepad in windows, but it has a lot more features.

So what does it do? If it's a notepad like thing why is it called ultra edit?
There are some pretty powerful editors that are usually used by programmers. They supply formatting possibilities that help writing structured source code, XML, HTML and the like, they may provide tag generation, stuff like that.

Anyway, since they produce text-type content, they're called editors, no matter how powerful.

Best if you're to check with the co which produced the product on what to do with your lost serial no. ;)
