UN resolutions

    What makes the AI decide on how to vote on certain resolutions? Certainly they don't vote in their best interest all the time...

    This would be helpful in deciding what resolutions to pass. For example, I think that the universal currency is usually beneficial, but many times some say no. The civics ones they almost always disagree with. Any order to this mess?

    It's not an easy question to answer as there are many factors involved:

    • Every resolution has different individual considerations
    • There's an automatic Yes from any AI who is friendly to or a teammate of the secretary general
    • Most resolutions have a random factor thrown in just to screw with you.

    I believe universal currency increases the yield of trade routes ? if that is so, a civ running mercantilism will have no benefit from it. So why let your foes get more gold ?

    Don't really know if the AI really thinks so sophisticated though ...
