Unable to run mod

I've run the instaler with the filepath ending in the mod folder. However when I atempt to run the game from the launcher nothing happens. Is this a Steam related issue?

umm ... could you define "nothing happens" ?

i can run RifE from launcher with steam version of civ4 without any problems (i've installed Steam, Civ4 and RifE in the default locations, without any parameters or directory changes)

Nothing happens as in the game does not launch. No error pop ups ect.

have you tried loading the mod through starting civ4 via steam -> main menu -> advanced -> load mod -> rise from erebus ?
