Well, I decided to play a bit again after some time, and got a rather unexpected win.

I was just playing as I normally do, but didn't feel the ned to rush anyone.
After some time and mostly peace I noticed that I had good relations with everyone axcept for the world enemy Tokugawa (no suprise there).
I decided to shoot for a nice Space win, and grab the UN in between just for fun, I knew i would get enough votes to become UN Leader.
I noticed Roosevelt voted for my opponent (Cyrus), so I gifted him some techs, but didn't notice a change in relations.
I did try for the Diplomatic victory, doenst hurt to try... and to my surprise, Roosevelt voted for me, giving me enough votes (abouta margin of 20) to win :D
A rather unexpected win, but very fun to have, I don't have diplomatic victories very often, cause I tend to be aggressive, but this was a Pure Diplomatic victory :)

Grats on your diplomatic win :)

Personally, i have never played with diplo victory enabled more than once, and it was my first Civ4 vanilla game back in the days. Won the game on the first voting process, and i felt it was the most stupid way to end a civ game ever, so i decided not to play with it again. :)

I often get a UN diplo win through being a pure war monger, having wiped out the continent and got a massive population by UN time and tried to stay in the good books of the other continent I can often pull it off and this saves the time taken to get the domination or space race
