Uninstall & Update Mods

Hi

Is there something I have to be aware of or can I just remove the old mod folder and replace it with a new version of the mod?

Also what's the difference between putting the mod in these 2 folders:

D:\Games\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Base\modules
C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods

Remove the old mod folder and put in the new one is the way to go.

"C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods" is where you put them, not in the Steam game folder. Put every mod in it's own folder, and make sure they're not nested in an extra folder. So the .modinfo file should be in a subfolder of that Mods folder, similar to this:
