I apologize in advance if this has been addressed before (I didn't see it if it has).
I am creating a new .bic file with tons of modifications, and I am finding there are certain times when it is crashing. I have deleted all of the units (yes, I am using the hacked editor.. I'm being very careful though :crazyeyes ) except for the units I'm using. The basics - settler, worker and scout - are there. the Warrior is there. Five units that I've added work fine (Llanowar Elf, Drudge Skeleton, Mons's Goblin Raider, Benalish Hero and Merfolk of the Pearl Trident).
Now I've added a new unit called the Ornithopter. My original intent was to make it an Air unit, but I noticed that Air units don't work the way I expected them to, so I made it into a variation of the Explorer - terrain as roads. I'm even using the Explorer movement icons until I get it to a point where I'm making my own animations.
Problem is-everytime I (or another faction) create one the game crashes. Yes I've copied the Explorer folder and renamed it to Ornithopter (I had that problem when I started doing this)
I also seem to be getting a problem when I enter a Goody Hut that I have no idea what is causing it. I have gotten all the events except for where the goody hut creates Warriors to attack you. Right now I have basic barbarians set to Warriors, Advanced Barbarians set to Mons's Goblin Raider and sea barbarian set to 'None' (for now). I even made sure that the Warriors and the Raiders were 'available' to the Barbarian 'civ' to no avail
If it matters (which I don't think it does) some of the other things I've done are;
-Deleted all the factions except 5, which I've changed.
-Added 5 new resources (using the uranium icon until I get around to changing it)
-Deleted all the techs on the lefthand most side.
-Created 6 new techs - White, Blue, Black, Green and Red Magic (enables Mana Resource of the appropriate type) as well as Basic Artifice, which enables the Iron Resource.
-Created a total of 6 units, one for each colour of magic as well as the Ornithopter which is giving me problems. None of these units currently have a prerequisite tech but DO have a resource need (which effectivly sets them a prerequisite to the type of mana they use.. I should fix that though)
Anything else I may be missing?
