Soviet 45mm Anti-Tank Gun

Just have them dive away in the attack.

I can't wait to see this finished, will it be the first Blender unit?
I just used one in Medal of Honor and am eagerly awaiting.

Update: Im working on the attack anim right now and getting the smoke to work right. (Neberwerfer doesnt mean smoke mortar for no reason) Other then that i ve finished every anim but the death.

IIRC it left a very distinctive smoke trail :)
The Panzerwerfer (a mechanized type of Nebelwerfer) had to relocate after each salvo, cause the enemy would know exactly where it came from due to the smoke trails.
Anyhow, suberb work there VBraun, how's the smoke coming? :)

@Winter-
the true "Nebelwerfer" was a mortar, the 105mm Nebelwerfer 35, developed, believe it or not, by a Mr Rudolf Nebel. The weapon owed its nickname to its function, launching smoke, and not to its designer. It was not a successful weapon anyway. It was rarely used and quickly forgotten. The rocket-launchers, which stole the designation, became famous and their official name, "Do-Gerät", never left anonymity.

Well if that smoke looks good ill be sticking with it. :p What about the color of the rocket? Is that okay? OR should i just make it the same color as the barrels?

The rockets color looks fine.
I'm not so sure about the smoke though
It doesn't really look 'smokey', but perhaps it looks fine in the animation and at civscale :)

Dont worry im still playing around with that. (This is the first time ive used smoke at all). Is this smokey enough? ;) Only on one of them becasue i have to remake the same object inorder to get the animation right. I cant simply duplicate it.

Ok, I take my comment back about it not being smokey enough
It looks great, can't wait for it :)
BTW, isn't there something like 'pattern' in the program you are using? I know there is such a thing in another program. Anyway, if there isn't I hope that making it the same isn't that difficult :)
EDIT, would it be difficult to have the gun face in a more upwarths position? This wasn't used in a direct support role, so near horizontal fire would be useless due to the lack of accuracy.

Making another one isnt difficult its just getting all the settings for the particle effects right. The only reason i cant duplicate it is becasue it takes the keyframes with it. and if i try to give it a new keyframe it changes both of them. Its rather annyoing.

BTW, I did change the smoke :p

What about changing the upwarths position of the gun? (see edit previous post-
Also, perhaps it is a bit overkill, but the shape of the rocket can be seen here(not that good though):

PS; will we get to see some more guns from you? ;)

EDIT; here is a better view, and it seems that the shape is roughly the same as posted :)

I probably should add more detail to the rockets. Im definiatly going to make them longer. And possibly a little more of a lighter grey.

Edit: I also plan to make it 10 degrees higher so its at 20 degrees. If i go any farther you will see the civ color of the things holding the tubes together inside the tubes. (i was lazy when i modeled that part.)

Im conidering making the German anti-tank gun Winter posted. But first im going to finish at least one of the units on my to do list. Can you belive it. I havent even finished a unit and people already want me to make more ;)

That's just because they look so good in the previews ;)
Good to hear about perhaps doing the Pak40 :D
