I apologise for having to make another thread for this but my first post in the other one didn't allow adding further pictures (I had long passed the limit of 20 images, unfortunately). For anyone unaware of the other thread, I am making unit requests for Japanese Sengoku-jidai units. If you're a unit-maker, have time, and simply want to help me out (which will be cited in the credits of my scnearios and mods, since I like to give credit where credit is due), feel free to sift through the various images that I've posted up as reference and to spark ideas.
I would ask that the other thread do NOT be closed, because I will hereby be moving all unit requests to this thread and turning the other one into a progress thread on unit ideas and structuring of the units in the tech-tree.
Here's a list of the clans' unique units. Red specifies clans that still need the unit to be made):
***Unique Units***
Clan UU ideas that need to be created:
Hojo Clan Fuma-ninja
Imagawa Clan - Iga-ninja
Takeda Clan Ju-kiheitai (Spear-wielding cavalry)
Uesugi Clan Odachi Samurai (Odachi-wielding anti-cavalry Samurai)
Tokugawa Clan - Mikawa Bushi (A stereotypical katana-wielding samurai)

***Unique Units***
Clan UU ideas that need to be created:
Hojo Clan Fuma-ninja
Spoiler :
^ The ninja cliché would be perfect for these guys. Just a black clad ninja with a straight-edge ninjato sword seems fitting for this.
Imagawa Clan - Iga-ninja
Spoiler :
^ For some reason, these guys were refered to as the "good" ninja. Where this name derives from is beyond me, but they seem to be described in a much more righteous manner than their rival ninja clan, the Fuma. Here's a possible look for these ninja.
Takeda Clan Ju-kiheitai (Spear-wielding cavalry)
Spoiler :
^ These are the most fearsome samurai cavalry in Japanese history, so their image should be according as well. I think these pictures are really good for a possible model. The first is a direct picture for reference and the third details the overcoat that many samurai wore (I would really love to see the overcoat used for the cavalry samurai). There are lots of other pictures of this unit for further reference, though anyone attempting to undertake this should understand what I'm going for. The last four are of course not detailing a samurai on horseback, but it does give a very good look at the way the body of the samurai should look (of course on a horse though).
Uesugi Clan Odachi Samurai (Odachi-wielding anti-cavalry Samurai)
Spoiler :
^ The odachi was/is a an irregularly long Japanese sword often used to counteract cavalry charges of the opponent. Though these were obviously not as widespread as katanas were, they were still often used during and before the Muromachi period. Due to the length of the blade and handle, wearing the sword on the side of the hip was impractical. Typically, they were either worn on the back, which posed the problem of unsheathing it in battle, or the scabbard simply held in the hand. I would prefer this last stance for this unit if possible. It would be best to have him hold the scabbard with his left hand at all times, and unsheath with the right. Also, the blade of an odachi was generally over three feet long, so this should be noticeable in comparison to the samurai's body. The first picture shows a samurai holding an odachi (though the sword is a bit small in that picture). The second shows an older representation of an odachi-wiedling samurai (this is what the size should resemble).
Tokugawa Clan - Mikawa Bushi (A stereotypical katana-wielding samurai)
Spoiler :
^ This is what Tokugawa's Samurai generally looked like. Something to this effect would be perfect. Note that the red color of the armor should probably be made into civ-coloring so that he can be used in other things as well. In my scenario, the Tokugawa clan is red anyways so the armor will take on this color nonetheless.
