For quite a while, many people (well, atleat 2 people) have been waiting for Undead Units to be made available. Currently, there's about 2 types of Skeletal Warriors and a Vampire. For some of us, these aren't quite what we're looking for and for others, it's not enough to make an entire civillization from.

I myself require a multitude of Zombies for my upcoming Mod, inspired by Ed o' Wars Scenario for Civilizations III, Escape from Zombie Island. Anyway, I require quite a few Zombie creautres and other monstrocities for this mod, many of which require Resident Evil style graphics (as in things that resembles the Hunters and Lickers and such from the Resident Evil Games).

Currently needed are:

A bloated Zombie with lunging attack and a clawing/swiping attack and, when contaminating an area for Zombie Infestation, an animation of them bloating slightly more and bursting, spewing a gas over the land. Death animation is the creature crumpling to the ground.

A thin, dark, heavily rotted Zombie to represent long dead humans and mummies with a slow limp and a lunge/swipe attack. Death animation is the creature either falling over backwards (and perhaps fallign apart) or the creature falling apart in mid fall from damage.

A less rotted Zombie to represent freshly dead (Perhaps a modified version of the worker) with a lunging attack and a clawing/swiping attack. Death animation is the Zombie fallign down, dead.

A Zombie Worker of some sorts, though this has already been provided for by the Goblin Workerm as it's skinnyness and green complection fit the bill.

A muscley Zombie with little revealed rot representing an Enhanced Zombie. Attacks would include a lunging attack, a clawing/swiping attack and a bludgening attack. Perhaps the base graphic could be a modified version of the Warrior with a shirt and without the axe and with the new attacks? The death animation would be it falling to the ground, dead.

A Giant Spider is already done and available, so it is covered for.

As is a Giant Squid-like creature.

A Dog could be useful (Perhaps both a rotted and none-rotten version) with a biting attack maybe (unknown other attack). Death could be it whimpering and falling on it's side.

A swarm of bats or Crows could be useful for a Cruise Missile Style weapon, but insted of exploding, they'd descend on an enemy and swarm over them before quickly dispersing.

An apelike creature, bulked up and rotting to represent a form of Undead Beast from a Labaroratory. The attack would be a bludgeoning from it's fists.

Another form of creature like this is provided from a Fallout based creature of which I forget the name.

That's all I can think of, though other creatures could include large insects, lizards, frogs and Crocodiles/Alligators.

With such units, I can go along way to making The Living Dead Mod of mine. The other parts of the game would require Makeshift Units made by the Surivors and High Tech meets Low-Tech from "The Company". Thanks to anyone who can or wnats to help. And thanks to those who'd like to help but can't.

If you really want all those units, you should probably learn to make units yourself. However a generic zombie unit would be much appreciated and highly useful (maybe even as a leper)

I thought about this earlier and tried to make a zombie unit by adding the pallet and framerate of a regular unit, but to no avail. For the attack animation it worked pretty well but not so for the run animation. (as could be expected)

Well anyway, I hope someone is interested, maybe someone involved in the WH-mod? hint ;)

That's why as said atleast two people are interested in getting Zombie units. Me for my Zombies Civs in TLD Mod, and Embryodead for the kehmri (I think) in his Warhammer Mod.

If you really want all those units, you should probably learn to make units yourself

I'd liek to learn but I have the problem of being to busy to. I can squeeze in this mod, but only if I'm not the one who does the Unit Graphics. The rest of my time is filled up with my comics and animation (Namely working on my new Web Comic).

I units and buildings can be designed from Bitmap Paint, I'd have no trouble as that's what most of my comics are done with and from there I've beocme experienced with Paint.

I had a zombie with butcher's axe started some time ago but never made it look good. Considering how slow I work, if at all, I'd forget about it for now though.
I only need 2 zombies (zombie+ghoul), though of course I wouldn't complain if I got 10 ;)
Other undead that I'd like are mummies, wraiths, wights (armoured skeleton), skeletal cavalry, large carrion bird, skeletal dragon etc.

i'm currently working on my first mod. it's a fantasy genre scenario that needs two kinds of undead units. one of these undead units would have the enslave ability, which would turn defeated living units into more zombie-producing zombie units. the other one, i modeled after the wights from bungie's old myth series; for those who never played those games, wights were an interesting unit because you could have them walk into a crowd of melee units engaged in battle and blow themselves - and everyone in their immediate vicinity - up, causing great splash damage + poison & stun effects. they were fun to play as and unnerving to come across. you can't mimic the stun/poison effects in civ3, but you can mimic the suicide attack by using the cruise missile ai strategy, though i'm still trying to work out the kinks at this time.

so i fully support this request.

I agree, we definately need more undead units.

Warlord 101, you can't use paint, you need to be able to mod the palette.

Oh. Well, what can I use to do that?
Also, feel free to call me Warlord, or War for short. It's what everyone else calls me at the other Forums I frequent.

I just wanted to let you guys know I would be interested in these units. I have an undead civ that is starving for units in my current project. I don't care how many or what kind at this point, I just want more. Call me greedy.
