Could anyone make:

M3 Half-Track

M60 Patton

Bell_UH-1_Iroquois

M114 155mm Howitzer

P-51 Mustang

C-47 Skytrain

Willy's Jeep

B-17 Bomber

and also recolored Submarines, Battleships, Cargo Ships(I mean the huge Battleship type), Transports(the Higgins types) and Destroyers, please?

Guy with M16

Guy with Mortar

Guy with Bazooka

Guy with Machinegun

they just need to be completely colorable by team color, so you could have Green, Grey, Blue, Tan, or whatever color is ingame for them.

I want to make an Army Men scenario.

You must be kidding. Look here and read this:

If there is a unit you would like to see made for Civ III, this is the place to request it.

Make sure you have searched thoroughly first, because we now have a lot of units in the database. You may also find the unit library and the unit artists' library helpful, but be aware that these are not complete.

If you request a unit, please bear in mind that making a unit takes a lot of time and skill, and people here do it just for fun. Making a unit for someone else is a big favour. So ask nicely, do not demand, and ideally, provide pictures to spark people's interest.

The previous request thread can be found here.
You're welcome.

What themanuneed said. Also, you've been lazy. Check the database.

Wasn't lazy, I looked, nothing related to Army Men(the plastic kind) because I searched "Army Men" just my post here and the unit request came up(and it was with my post too), so, not lazy, just couldn't find anything, so I made a request for 12 units that depend entirely on civ color.

All the units he requested are in the database I was going to post links to all of them, but the last sentence of his OP says he wants them to be all one color. Like plastic army men

My advice to you is to learn how to make units, if you have Poser or Daz Studios you could probably fint free models of most of these. Or learn how to cut and paste to edit the existing units.

All one color ? that would be ugly. Maybe try to recolor the existing units ?

Yeah, all one color, lol, like the plastic guys.

ShiroKobbure: I knew they were all in the database as the realistic versions, which is why I said I wasn't lazy, just the units reliant on team color aren't, so, yeah, lol.

I even mentioned it was for Army Men, sure, I could have posted in the units request area, but I figured I'd elaborate more in a full topic.

and I'll see if I can edit existing models, I'll go look for all those editor tools.

and no, I don't have any of those editor tools, I don't do anything that makes it worth spending over $25.

and to be more clear, I mean the you know how the medieval infantry had civ colored things on him? I want that to be all over his body(the civ color) so, if I picked Green, my Patton tanks would be entirely green, if I picked yellow, he'd be entirely yellow, and so on and so forth.

That might actually not be that hard to do. Would you not just replace all the unit colours in a civ pallete with civ colour?

If I knew how to do that, I'd download them all and recolor them myself...

Ok the method I had in mind works but it replaces all the colours with civ colour so that is not going to work because it will get rid of flame colours of smoke in the attack and run.

Elite, how is your progress on your Army Men scenario? Why don't you release it first, which may get the interest of someone familiar with Civ3 graphics to help you out?

If you don't, then it may be tough to find a unit maker to dump tens and tens of hours or more of their life into recoloring or making units for your scenario that may never come to fruition.

A unit that is completely civ color generally won't look that great because it will consist of a max of 40 colors.

As Delta said, some units if recolored would be a pain to keep seperate the attack weapon colors / death colors from the civ color.

If all else fails, there could always be 4 different variations of each vehicle/soldier(Green, Tan, Blue and Gray) and I'm currently working on the scenario, still perfecting it.

there will be no research.

I think the Patton Tank is green generally just with Civ colors on like the rear of the tank(would make it be entirely Green, Tan, Blue and Gray, no Civ colors at all)

I mean, I found the Green and Tan version's

Tan Tank

Green Tank

they'd just need the Civ colors replaced with their original colors, and Blue/Gray would need their own version's too.

My advice:
- Download the GIMP (free graphics editing programme, unfortunately somewhat limited palette options).
- Download Muffins' civ coloured Warhammer 40K units and look at the palettes.
- Read as many unit making tutorials as possible and experiment.

Recolouring existing units to civ colour should be possible if you have the time and inclination, from what little I know of unit palettes.

Tom's right though. Requests like this go down better if there is evidence that they might come to fruition. That's why most of my requests go unanswered :D; I've never released so much as a limited-test-pre-alpha-barely-working mod.

Which is why I'm working on the scenario, I have a small portion of it done, it's just a shame 3DO ever released a hard map of their world, so, I have to work it off by what I heard in the World War games(scenario is based off World War, hence no Sarge)

Blue land is done currently, I've always viewed them as a Southern Continent
