Sorry about taking so long to get these polls up. I was having "technical difficulties." Anyways, what should be done with Unknown City?

Before voting, there is something I would like to know. In the Turn Information - thread, CornMaster has posted the result of the chat earlier today (tonight...). When reading that I noticed that in the turns played during this chat, the English landed outside Unknown City, declared war and killed the phalanx. A cruisader was rushed and made a successful counterattack.

When looking at the screenshot, the phalanx is still there and I can see no crusader. Is this screenshot and old one? Are we voting for turns that have already taken place? :confused:
 
If the defender was lost, Pikemen, otherwise Crusader, our outter marches must be protected.

You're right, the screenshot is from 1070ad. Cornmaster played untill 1120ad. The current situation is this:

Pikeman, followed by a courthouse so we can use some of that trade.
 
Looks like pikeman is winning out. I have to agree that two good defensive units here will be nice. After that, perhpas a temple...


UPON EDIT: In a bit of micromanagement, would it be possible to try moving the worker on the fish to the irrigated and roaded grassland tile with the shield? Don't know if it will make a difference, but having 5 shields per turn will help reduce the time to build stuff here. I guess put it back if the shiled just goes to waste.
 
I agree with the Trireme. Besides, the vast unknown regions of the world beckon to our people. We can use the trireme to explore later.
