- New Terrain improvement: Clickery - available with no tech prerequisite, this terrain improvement requires more than 10 mouse clicks to complete.
- Brexit mechanics - Cities can now detach from empires regardless of loyalty pressure but it takes them 99 turns on quick speed to flip independent.
- Train Disasters - instead of just units, now every build in your city can automatically switch to another build without your agency upon discovering a new tech.
- New Disaster: Tsunamo - A volcano that creates a tornado and a hurricane when it explodes.
- Strategic Resource tweaks - Even more resources are being strategically pooled into graphics, animation and design, rather than AI and user interface.

New Units:
Futurist: Scout unit that is unlocked by the third time you complete future techs. Weak unit for exploration of uncharted territory. (Prester John 2)
Antivaxxer: Unlocks with Internet. If two or more of these units are in the same city's territory at the same time, 25% chance of losing a population each turn (iammaxhailme)
80s Pop Band - unit disbands immediately after purchase.
Televangelist - provides a buckload of gold, needs and provides no faith. (tedherbert) Alternative source states it actually turns faith into gold. (iammaxhailme)
Black Metal band: Unique unit for Norway. Gigs removes all existing stave churches anywhere. (Kark)
White metal band: Generates no tourism, but starts the final countdown.
New resources:
Amirite (strategic resource): provides -1 adjacency to campus districts, -1 DV point per turn, not required for anything. (oakdragon)
Big Data (strategic resource): adds an additional trade route per node. Requires data mining.
Cryptocurrency - a new form of currency that's invisible in your UI if your graphics card doesn't have at least 8 GB of RAM.
Obsidian - new resource found only on volcanic soil. When improved, it prevents winters from coming. (Kark)
Unit changes:
Pike & Shot - new, moderator censored mechanics (Weraptor)
Infantry now requires iron, niter, oil, aluminum, wheat, rice, cocoa, cofee, copper, cotton, dyes, tobacco, salt, sugar and tea. (TomKQT)
Biplane can now be built with Military Engineering. It can't fly or move, but hey, at least you get to see it!
New districts:
Placeholder Square - a district that provides no benefit, but gives the player an impression that it's somehow worth building. Replaces the Encampment.
Bueraucracy plaza: A district that costs 30% of your total gold income to maintain and provides red tape, a new luxury resource that reduces happiness.
Giant Disco: District to corral your Giant Dancing Robots. Cities without this district are liable to population loss due to squish. (racha)
New scored competitions:
Cricket World Cup - The winner is rewarded by having all their rivers simultaneously flood! (Loderingo)
Eurovision™ Song Contest - Kicked off and first hosted by the first civ to make a rockband. Send Rockbands to participating nations, where albums sold would be counted as the votes of the national juries, and tourism generated - as popular vote in the form of tourism from the country where the rockband performs for the benefit of the sending nation. Then everything is summed up. The winner gets three points of diplo victory and 300 DF points and becomes the host of the next contest unless Australia, in which case it's hosted by the runner-up. Before the contest, all host must pay 10,000 gold to cover organizational costs, but then, during the contest, the host gets 1 gold per every 10 tourism generated by and in all the participating nations. (MrRadar)
New world wonders:
Giant vacuum cleaner statue - how did this one get in, the world wonders.

An overly ambitious colossal structure - a world wonder that you can't complete, but whenever you switch a government type, the project gets cancelled and you get to salvage the production costs.
New Policies:
Outsourcing +50% gold and -50% production in all cities. (Troy Bruckner)
Open Border Immigration +10% production, -20% gold, -1 Amenity (Troy Bruckner)
Closed Border Emigration -2 movement outside cultural borders. All cities in your empire randomly re-distribute their population every turn.
Third and final expansion - Your 3rd settler is not cheaper and you can't wait to get it.
