Nice. I can make the design and some programming if I learn it fast.
pretty pumped for the Dynamic History Scenario.
Quick question however, lots of these mod components out there that you guys are using (that are made by other people) have bugs, and difficulties working with other mods. Are you guys testing, and coding to wean out all the problems? For example, I recall the cultural diffusion mod making the game terribly slow. Gedemon was going to fix it but never got around to it. Anything done to fix things like that?
First, sorry for the abscense of New Information
am not a Lua expert. However, Pazyryk has created a set if rules to make Lua code run faster, and maybe the Cultural Diffusion Mod can be rewrited... But if Gedemons hasn't do that already probably it's either too hard or it is a lot of work.
The simplest solution is to use a Lua DLL replacement, which already exists, that uses LuaJIT, a version of Lua that is the same but runs faster (it has to due with it not being a fully interperted programming language). Thread reports very good results. Disadvantages: It requires the user to manualy replace a Core File (it cannot be implemented via Mod).
Technology Trading, Share Opinions and Map Trading were implemented by Putmalk! . It is a DLL Mod but with some compatibility work it will be possible to implement in RFE.

Hey guys! What's your current civ list, with BNW in mind?
(assuming Morocco, Italy and Vietnam will be included there)
These are my top choices:
Hungary, Armenia, Phoenicia, Pueblo, Sioux or Comanche
Sumer, Hittite, Khmer, Mali, Kongo, Nubia
Indonesia, Tibet, Khazars
Khmer and/or Khazar instead of Tibet is possible
Expect a small ModMod release soon.... about Elephants...
Seems like Hungary is on BNW... and Majapahit and Marroco are the expected ones...
If that happens (what is probavle) we need to find a replacement for Hungary
What? Hungary isn't in BNW, and actually at this point it's impossible as there's no space for them in the alphabetical listing if Indonesia and Morocco are in.
Would be awesome
But yeah, Hungary is probably out...
The 2 last remaining civs are between P and Z
Probably Venice and a North American native civ
... Where is that information? I wanted Hungary/Magyar in the Expansion.
Yeah, I wanted them to be in too
Would have totally deserved a spot in this expansion.
IMO even in Gods and Kings, much more than Austria or Sweden
But we will see Sioux and Venice I think (something that screws our RFE Italy)
- Reduce the Amount of Civilizations in RFE to 7 (Remove Tibet)
- Add a New Replacement Civilization (Hittites, Gran Colombia, Indian Civilization, Mali, African Civilization)
Mali is a good idea
The Hittites and Khmer or Vietnam would also be very nice in RFE
Khmer is a good choice IMO. Mali would by my top pick, but it conflits too much with Songhai... Hittites are also a good choice... Garamantes, Kilwa seem nice choices... Sparta, even if controversial could be added... Cholan Empire and Kievan Rus' are good. Schytia, Parthia, Pontus and other Ancient Civilizations could be added...
Best Civilization Choices (Random Order):
A. Kievan Rus
Criteria to choose the Civilization #9 for RFE.
1) Material for Uniques
2) Historic Relevance
3) Gameplay Uniqueness Possibility
4) Representative Leaders
Khmer or Mali are the best choices, but if Mali conflicts with the Songhai, I have no problems in saying that the Khmer deserve this place more than everyone else.
