Recently I managed to remove the OOS patch by factory reformatting my computer. I am no longer a MOD and the other players do not kick me out of their games anymore! I was wondering did anyone else experience this with the unofficial OOS patch? Now I only have 2 games on my computer Civ 4 with all the expansions and Icewind Dale 2. And also is Civ 5 going to come out in the near future?

what is OOS
The OOS patch was the unofficial out of sync patch that independent programmers made for the game to keep it from going out of sync when marines made an amphibious attack. Anyhoo, the patch wrecked my Beyond the Sword game as I appeared as a MOD to other players and so I was forced to play Vanilla Civ. Finally, I tried reformating my computer and that got rid of the OOS patch.

3.19 included most of the old UP (unoficial patch), and so it includes the OOS fix. You do not need the OOS fix since the release of 3.19
