Hi All,

Apologies if this has already been asked but I cannot locate such a query on the forums.

I have CivIV BTS (latest patch) and I'm looking to play a multiplayer direct-IP game. Seems the way multiplayer is done in BTS is you create a game using pitboss, which scripts a map which you then save and can open using CivIV BTS. Odd, but I can deal.

My question is, you can choose unrestricted leaders when creating the game, but you then only have the option of choosing one of the leaders belonging to your chosen Civilization, or "random". I would like to choose my civilization, and then choose my leader, who belongs to a different Civilization. This does not appear to be a standard option.

Can this be done? If so, how?

Thanks in advance,

[db]Perseforis.

I only play Direct-ip MP and use unrestricted leaders. Just choose the option in the staging room and you then can choose any combination you like. Pitboss is not required at any stage of direct-ip.

Thanks BlackX.

Had a total mental blank - I usually use the in game Multiplayer option to start a MP game.

I'd just upgraded from BTS .02 to BTS .03 and was wondering why the multiplayer was greyed out on the options screen - not thinking that maybe auto-loading a mod (which I'd configured since the last MP game I'd played) might do this.

Ran around in circles for a while before figuring out that unloading the mod re-enables the multiplayer option - I'd assumed it was the patch that was causing the multiplayer option to be disabled. I thought maybe they were removing the option in favour of pitboss only MP games.

That's what you get for taking a day off work...your brain melts.

Cheers for the post though!
