Unsecured wireless networks

I just set up a wireless network at my crib. My laptop is detecting a few other hotspots in the neighborhood, one of which is unsecured. Is there a way to find out who that is and let them know that's a bad idea?

Yes, it is possible to get on the network and leave whatever message you like for your neighbor. Some quick googling will bring this up. I wouldn't really bother with it though. Simply doing it may be a crime in certain areas, and maybe it's open on purpose. I can think of several reason to leave it open, from being generous to spying on people that use it.

Don't tell them, open wireless networks are a god send to a traveller.

Especially when you are lost in a foreign country, like London.
