Upcoming patch info!

It doesn't. Valve has said repeatedly that they never release Steam sales numbers to third parties.

Vgchartz data doesn't only not include Steam sales numbers, it also doesn't include any other sales numbers. If you check out the "Methodology" link at the bottom of the page, you'll find out that they are, basically, making it all up. My favourite is this:

Oh, I totally agree. There really is no way to verify how ciV is selling. I merely posted the only information that was available. I never said it was reliable.

In fact, 2K Games could throw out any old number and who can really check up on it? It could give a false impression on how well the game is doing.

Maybe I should buy some shares in 2K Games. It might be interesting to see their shareholder reports. ;)

* Economy – Increased city wealth setting to 25%

Does this mean that the base wealth of each city is increased by 25%?

I believe it means that when you put your city build to "wealth" (after discovering currency you can do this) you'll get 25% of your production in gold instead of 10%.

Oh and welcome to the forums. :)

Honestly, I would have bought the digital version had it not been more than twice the price of picking up the boxed copy. :(

Reasoning?

I mean, I can understand anybody who is living in the backwoods with no street so that Amazon couldn't deliver.
But as far as I see it, the physical copy is always preferrable, since it makes you independent of internet speed at least to quite some degree. And if you would have a good internet, then you can downlaod anyway.

I saw this post and it answers a question I have seen asked several time about the city limit crash.

This was posted by Greg

I just checked in to this and I am happy to say that yes, the 70 city crash bug is one of the crash fixes.

So the problem of excess beakers not carrying over to next tech isn't going to be fixed?

That's a shame. I find the micro-management is a bit frustrating.

There are many other changes to do, like the follow:

16) To load a game, u don't see every time the last save but u have to search it

That one annoys me too. I like it that the loads are in alphabetical order, but the last three should be at the top, in chronological order. "Am I playing as Odysseus... or as Perikles?"

I remember that only too well, what a mess it was.

I am pretty sure it scared away many Firaxis workers from this forum.

It was a crappy patch. They should have acknowledged as much and got to work cleaning up the mess they had made. They are not primadonnas, for Pete's sake.

Sorry, I didn't quite word that the way I wanted.

What I meant to say was that if the digital version had been at least a bit cheaper, I would have considered it. As it was, the digital version was far too expensive - a ripoff.

I was hoping for more multiplayer fixes, like the unavoidable and constant disconnects that I keep having in a LAN game. Plus, they need to add a pop-up window when a player disconnects like in Civ4. Not to mention the common sense option of turning on animations and leaderheads in multiplayer.

* Military - Improved unit cycling logic. Camera will jump around much less.
Thank you. This was quite annoying.

* Balance - Engineers +1 hammer
They're finally useful. Similar fix for the Artist too, hopefully? Otherwise, no reason to run them in a Culture game, which makes no sense.

Why would some of you want leftover beakers spill over to the next tech? You want to go from researching late game techs in 4-5 turns down to 2-3 turns. Perhaps playing the Babylonians might get the tech tree done before a.d.
