US SAM: HMMWV Avenger

The Avenger Air Defense System, designated AN/TWQ-1 under the Joint Electronics Type Designation System, is a missile system which provides mobile, short-range air defense protection for ground units against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, low-flying fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopters. The Avenger was originally developed for the United States military and is currently used by the Army. Until recently, the system was also used by the Marine Corps. - Wikipedia

The download includes 4 skins - NATO, Green, Desert, and one I made based on the S. African army camo for Zulu. The green and desert skins have team color (though not shown in the preview). Buttons are included for all of them.



The unit uses unique animations, make sure to point to the right place in your XML.

Looks, great. One of my favourites. By the way, if you want with some of my ideas, I do have pictures of a few of them. Some might be fairly quick to do as they seem to be the same basic shape as the M109 or other units. Some might take some work.

Any chance of redoing the skin slightly of the Avenger for the FB-6A SAM? I have seen it in all over yellow as well as a dark green camoflague. The only difference with some of them looks to be the turret that could be really seen at Civ Scale...

That's not a bad idea- I knew the Chinese had copied the humvee, but not the avenger system. I can see making one eventually, but I don't know when.

They actually do have it now. I have seen a lot of pictures of them in the field.
