V 1.52: Work overflow not working as it should

Here is the situation:

I'm building a warrior in my city, while 2 workers are chopping 2 forests (at the same time)
The turn the forests are finished to be chopped, I get 2 messages saying I get 90 shields. I check the status of the work in my city : warrior : 188/30 shields

Next turn, I start build a settler, and I see that overflow from previous work is 30! and not 158 as it is supposed to be!

Is it because I chopped 2 forests at the same time? or is there a limit of 128 shields / turn, after what it starts again at 0? (30 = 158-128)

anyone else noticed this?

Can you provide a save? That sounds interesting.

Also, how are you getting 90 shields per chop?

The overflow is capped at the production cost of the present unit/building/construction project. This is probably done to avoid exploits where one can actually save production in the overflow buffer turn after turn (by building many cheap units) that can then be used to rush a large project like a wonder.

Also note that only the base shields without modifiers of production enhancing buildings (like the forge) or resources (like stone for some wonders) will be noted in the next turn overflow. These base shields will gain the production bonusses of the next building project.

Production from chopped forests gain the same production bonusses as the other shields that are added that turn through normal production (from the forge and stone for some wonders, etc.). Overflow from chopping will again only be the base shield production from the forests without any production bonusses. The overflow will again gain the production bonusses from the new building project.

Well, I don't have a save on hand, but it can be reproduced very easy. The 90 shields / chop is because I play epic and marathon mode (I even get sometimes 180 shields / shop in marathon mode)

Well, I made another try, with chopping only 1 forest, getting 90 shields. I was building a warrior too, and the turn the forest got shopped it showed I have around 100 / 30 progress, next turn, I had 63 shields for my settler.

So it doesn't make sense that 1 forest giving 90 shield, gives you 63 out of 70 overflow shields the next turn , but 2 forest with 180 shields total just leave you with 30 out of 158 overflow shields the next turn.

If you can provide some screenshots or a savegame, then maybe we can reach an explanation of what is happening. Screenshots in the turn before the forest chop and after the forest chop would be pretty good and a savegame before the forest chop would be even better. The present description is a bit too vague for me to reach an explanation.

If it is a bug, then the people at Firaxis will also need a savegame or at least a number of screenshots to see what is happening.
