v1.61 - No Tech Splash and missing some movies

Since 1.61 I have lost all tech splashes with Leonard Nimoy and I think some other movies (does the forbidden palace have one? if so, I didn't get it). In my civilizationiv.ini in my documents, I have NoTechSplash = 0 (I also tried 1, just in case the double negative tripped them up) - but no luck either way. All my settings are set to High, except I have "show cities in world view" disable in the graphics tab.

I have removed my only mod (the demolition mod), and re applied the patch, but no luck. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure the forbidden palace doesn't have a movie - it's just the world wonders.

Not sure about the tech-splashes, though I seem to remember of people reporting the problem in the past.

the forrbidden palace is a national wonder so it has no wonder

Are you using the autolog from Civ 1.5? When I updated to 1.61, I left the autolog in my custom assets folder, which overwrites changes made to the CvEventHandler.py file that 1.61 brought in. I could no longer get wonder or religion splashes.

Thanks for the tip, Rex. I'm sure I'm missing some splashes/notifications with the latest patch (seems a bit hit and miss, though, and not as definite a problem as the original poster is reporting) and I do indeed have the autolog file present so I will try removing it.
