v1.980 – v1.480 – v1.180

What's going on with CityNameManager.py?

Warlords version. Note Cambrige on the East Coast, Grenoble and Dijon on the Caribbean Islands and Khabarovsk on the Ural mountains. Seems like the game sometimes uses default city names where it shouldn't. And I didn't place these cities in the Worldbuilder, in case you are wondering.

Edit: I dunno, when I am founding these cities, the names work OK.

Maybe it was some werid glitch that happens once in a blue moon?

You know, Harvard and MIT are located in Cambridge, MA.:)

Question about the newest patch:

I'm confused about the change in Rome.

I am under the understanding that the Church of Nativity has been moved to Jerusalem, while Rome remains the 'holy city' for Christianity. Am I correct?

The reason I'm asking...I have DL'd the new patch, but the Church of Nativity remains in Rome, along with it being the Holy City. I thought (and I could be completely wrong), that the shrine had been moved to Jerusalem to keep Rome from becoming overpowered and to help Arabia out a bit financially for their expansion? Am I wrong, or is my DL now working and I'm still using the old version? Thanks for the help...

by the way...this is using the 600 AD start.

If you're using the unlocked 600 AD did you download the updated file (it's separate from the patch) ?

Now my RFC is buggered up, I start with a couple of lonely ass catapults on ASSTARTica and then this stupid snake python event pops up and the wrinkly fk that is Willem Van Oranje spawns where celts rule Europe. Screw this mod.

Did you:

1. Go to http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=12576 and download this? You should NOT use the in-game updater. With some luck you can just override it, but you may need to reinstall the game.
2. Really download this version? This is by far not the most updated version and is built on another version than 3.19, so it surely won't work. To be honest I'm wondering why you are posting in this thread.:) Go to http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=354241 and do NOT install it in 'My Documents' but on your C:/ folder.

If you did so, there shouldn't be anything stopping you from playing this mod.

I read your other post in various places about this as well and I can promise everything works as intended, no viruses or whatever. There is no need to blame the mod, it all works if you follow the guide as stated above.

EDIT: With C:/ folder I mean C:/.../Program Files/Civilization 4/Beyond the Sword/Mods folder.

unless im unaware of something, 1.187 is the current "up" and it is the version i have... is there a more recent version somewhere?
