Hey,

a unit has lost its promotions after it has been sent to a CS. There it pops out with one or two minor promotions.

I'm not sure but I believe that several units I donated to CSs have vanished without being killed.
I granted them artillery and infantry in order to crush the enemy between us and the CSs lost about half of these forces before we went into war. Is this possible?

Btw I recognised that CSs of course do not settle, but they are able to conquer and burn down enemy cities. In addition they'll burn down enemy capitals, which is a usefull trait if you don't want to keep and use them.

Never saw capital city burn. U sure about it ?
I doubt anyone even CS can take down a capital city + thats probably hard coded.

Yes I am sure!
Russia went into battle with me but I took over moscow. Because of that, another russian city became the new capital (perhaps that's why it worked!?).
Then, after a period of ceasefire, my allies and I went into war with russia to wipe them out.
I bribed the nearby CSs (after I donated some units to them: see above) and they went into war with russia, too.
After taking and burning down the last russian cities on my continent, the capital moved to a small island with a nearby CS. I bribed this CS too, weakened the russian capital with my battleships and the CS conquered and burned it down.

So technically it wasn't me who finished the russian player... :)

Only a civilization's *original* capital is immune to burning.

@Zaldron
Just for information: because 'a civilization's *original* capital is immune to burning' I had it now that a CS gained a second city by conquering a civs original capital! :)
