Varietas Delectat and Ethnic City Styles for DoC

Just a look at Indian styles in SoI.
 
Am I the only one here who the hell doesn't understand how to install the file?
Just copy everything and overwrite the Assets folder?
 
Yes, be sure to unpack into mods or RFC Dawn of Civilization though. After, you can check to make sure going into the assets folder and making sure things are there, like the Cultural Citystyles and Varietas Delectat FPKs are there
 
The RAR package contains an Assets folder. You have to integrate the new Assets folder into the present one and overwrite everything.

Pretty much Italy needs to be non-Roman. I have a galley that has a sail that says SPQR on it, and a trireme with laurales.

The old caravels looked like modern long range race sailboats with wood substituted for fiberglass.
Oh, yeah, I just implemented the basic VD package with all civs from vanilla BtS, and Rome was Italy's closest approximation. I know there's Italian art around, but I can still add that later.
 
PLEASE keep Varietas Delectat only optional, it doesn't work to me, when I play I see something like this

Don't know how, don't know why (and don't know if it could care anyone), but, after a SVN update on 1.9 version, it works fine!!!

Different graphic of cows.. like in RFCA (iirc there's at least 2 different graphic for cows)

Sounds great, maybe for horses and pigs as well?
 
Thought about that too, but atm I don't know if it's possible. I'll take a look at RFCA if it really implements something like that.

Do I overwrite the assets folder in the Dawn of Civilization folder, in the assets folder for the maingame, or move the assets folder in the Mods folder and hope the modules work?
 
Oops sorry, I messed up.
I thought I saw a brown and gray cow in RFCA but it turns out there's gray cows only :(

Integrate it.

1) Copy manually each file from folder X in the zip to the same folder X in your game folder.
2) If there's a same file, just overwrite it.
3) Do not overwrite all Assets folder. It's fatal...

This Assets folder does not contain a folder named Python.
Without this folder, the game you're gonna play is no longer a DoC :cool:
(not sure if the game will work anyway without this folder)
 
... removing the present folder is out of the question anyway.
 
I've fixed some bugs in this addon, but didn't have the time to repackage it yet. Please download the patch linked to in the OP and unpack it into your Mods folder.

What do I do with any other folders? Keep them in Mods folder?
