Question about vassalage mechanics. Why is there a cooldown on re-vassalizing when your vassal declares independence?
I just had my first vassal breakaway (pretty fun, I wish it was slightly more frequent) and I was able to beat them fairly quickly in the field. Now, I need to wait ~30 turns (Epic speed) to be able to add the "capitulation" peace deal.
This is really annoying, they declared independence, I crushed them in the ensuing war, why can't I take them back? I assume the cooldown is to prevent some kind of cheese?
The current situation is I am sitting in an already won war for the next ~30 turns playing whack-a-mole killing the units they build every turn because I don't want to take their cities as they are a useful buffer against other civs.
