Further east, the Pala Empire is about to rise, though if they are not careful, the emerging Tibetans could be an obstacle as they too seek for glory days to come. All this again, is a threat to China, who will have to ensure peace to continue its age of enlightenment, though over the great oceans, an even greater threat arrises to an even smaller nation, the Mayans. Now the decision falls upon you. Can you lead a nation into a golden age of flourishing trade and great technological advancements? Can you create a civilization who can stand the test of time?

Hey, quick feedback on your map "Ancient Greece": I like it a lot, the shape of the Greek mainland looks particularly good. I just finished a game (and got cultural victory, played at prince level with speed set to quick).
I just noticed a few things: - first, all 5 civs started on mainland Greece and not off the Turkish coast, which makes a whole continent empty up until the discovery of astronomy: was it a specific feature of my game or is it supposed to happen all the time ?
- some of the start locations are really bad for the civ which gets it (thinking about the poor hammurabi who started in the middle of all these tiny islands with no hammers at all)
- my map had no oil resource... I know you said that resources are random, and change for each game, and that you can build all units with Ethanol Inc., but I never got the chance to do that and so I had no way of building planes, tanks, etc. That was a bit disturbing, I must say...

Otherwise, the map was great fun ! I look forward to playing your "Central Med" map too !

thank you for the feedback. I understand your frustration if there were no oil resources on the map. That happened yeasterday when i played the same map too. I do not know why it dit not add any oil on the map, but this is indeed easy fix (and a bit of cheating) through the worldbuilder :mischief: About the turkey part. Turkey being a compleate new continent is part of the meaning and so you can found colonies there. You can look at it as map with the Americas on the east side. About those starting locations, there are only one on an island, and that is the big one. I have to admit it is a bit crappy place, but i chose the locations after the historical placements of a couple of important greek cities.
Remember to play my Central Med map too :goodjob:

Do not forget to check out my newest map, Central America. This time i can guarantee that lack of oil will be no problem. More info in second post. Enjoy :king:

Incredible maps vebear!

The only criticism I would give you right now is that most of these maps would be better if the scope was slightly increased. Particularly on the Phoenician one. I think if Corsica, Sardinia, more of Africa, more of Italy, and the whole Pelleponnese were depicted it would be better. But still, they look great. :goodjob:

That can be done, but the map might become a bit too huge then so I would not advice you to use such a waste map unless you have a bigger dll. But i guess you will have one in Diplomacy II anyway, so I will make it for you ;)

^Thanks :D At least I am making pieces of it. Thought of maybe a Great Lakes, Black Sea or a Levanth map next, but i do not know... time will show :p

The only reason I really suggested increasing the scope of some of the maps is that, say I wanted to make a quick scenario for Phoenicia. I'd like for other civs to be involved, and if I put civs like the Greeks/Minoans, Etruscans/Latins, Berbers, Egyptians, Assyrians, etc. I'd need more room to make the rival civs viable. Know what I'm sayin?

I see :goodjob:
But if you would like to make a scenario, I would advice you to use this map instead :king:
More info on it you will find on DB page or post 2 :)
