Version 0.40 Crashes on Startup

I've successfully downloaded & installed FFH2 ver 0.40 and it seems to load appropriately, but the game immediately crashes to desktop whenever "single player" is clicked.

The error report says:

I could be wrong, but it looks like you are running BTS version 3.13. Download the 3.17 patch for BTS and you should be fine.
