I just needed to ask....You can only have *one* improvement on any land tile at any time (not counting roads or railroads), is that correct?
I know this question will show my ignorance....but I had to ask for sure, thanks!

Here's another question, if you feel inclined to answer it: Do you happen to know if experience gained against animals and barbarians count towards Great General points? I'm under the impression they don't, but I wasn't sure.

You're right, they don't.

The only "free" GG pts available are via Privateers.

You can see your GG pts progress in the F5 [I think?] screen, a bar graph at the bottom.

Just playing around with a random civ (Catherine of the Russians) and trying to figure out the best way to take advantage of her 100% Great General bonus being Imperialistic.
Playing on a Huge map, though, so domination would be very hard.
