I have never had this happen before and don't recall seeing any threads of it happening to anyone else before.
Ok, so for the past few hours I've been well on my way to winning my first Epic Huge Monarch game ever... I have been way ahead in culture, my top 3 cities have double the culture of the 2nd best country's cities.
Well, I had Isabella (and Lincoln, her vassal) declare war on me about 15 - 20 turns ago... U.N. resolutions to get her to end the war have failed (she said never, heh).
Ok, so the weird part... I'm doing ok fending off Isabella's attacks with my decently sized army of puny riflemen (she brought paratroopers and anti-tank to my land... haha) and out of nowhere I get a message telling me that I have just declared war on my neighbor who has been pleased with me for most of the game (was friendly for a while). I did not attack him, but for some reason it's telling me that I have.
This is not a good thing at all, especially since he has tanks, and the best I have is riflemen... basically, he took my first city (not one of my culture cities) on the first turn of the war. I reverted to the turn before it said I declared war & saved it... if I can somehow avoid this war, well I believe I can win... unless Saladin decides to attack me...
Anyways, I'm kinda bummed that that happened, since this could end up being my first win on Monarch in civ4 since before warlords was released.
So, has anyone had that happen or heard of that happening before?

And I think there is some possible mischeif/bugs in there
