Here is my idea:

Whenever we have a large battle in our Civ Demogame, we can reconstruct the battle and then play it in Rome Total War/Medieval Total War 2 and use Gamecam (or another program) to record it.

I think this would be THE way to visualize our epic battles! What do you think?

I think someone can do this if they want but its going to take a lot of work to do very often if we have wars. That and im unsure on the later total war series games but do they have things like axemen and swordsmen in?

I think a few visual screenshots from only the major battes (mult stacks vs multi stacks and city battles) is a great idea :goodjob:.

You are right, my intention was to only reconstruct the mayor battles. I could base the battles on the RP stories and descriptions and of course anyone can think along about how the battles were fought (what tactics etc).

About the units: I don't know exactly what culture our nation belongs to, but Rome Total War has alot of variation in axemen, swordmen, horse archers, war elephants, chariots, catapults etcetera so I think we will be fine on that matter. :) When we advance to the medieval age we can switch to Medieval 2: Total War and soon Imperial Total War will be released so we can also continue with recording battles (and sea battles!) into the industrial age.

I have Rome Total War + Barbarian Invasion and Medieval 2: Total War in my possession, so maybe I can record and edit the battles.

I have CivCity: Rome. They use a lot of the same graphics as Civ4, but I don't have that kind of recording program, although I can film it and upload it.

What aspect of the Demogame would you like to visualize with Civcity?

BTW: For those who never played RTW, http://www.onlinedesert.com/rtw/ here is a list with the units of the main factions (with pictures). We need to decide which factions units correspond the most with the ideas of our units.

CivCity has some war scenerios. I was thinking that I could use those. We could also use it to visualize great cities.

That's true, but it would be difficult since we do not have roman culture. Rome Total War features far more cultures which resembles ours more.
