Vodka and SARS

I don't know if this news has been brought up before, but it is the most interesting thing I've read. Do you think the Russians are trying to jumpstart their economy?

As far as I know the russians, this wouldn't be necessary to make them drink vodka. Interesting news though.

I'm off to buy russian airline stocks.

Nope, as a matter of fact they just found acouple of new cases. Unless of course you are talking about Russians when you mean "they".

It seem funny first, that a respiratory syndrom can be prevent by ingestion of alcool ( ethyl alcool).

But the human metabolism of ethyl alcool by the liver produce acetaldehyde which is similar to formaldehyde, a well know germ killer and toxic chemical to protein like molecule. Aldehyde react easily with protein and virus exactly use protein replication system.

i'm talking about the world, last i heard about it there were no cases in China for a while then it droped out of the news. It doesn't really bother me that it's still around though since it's got what a 99.99% survival rate.
