Volcanoes and the Editor

Hi. Long time lurker, first time poster. I finally purchased Civ3 today to create maps and I cannot find where I can edit in marshes and volcanoes. How do I edit them in?

Do you have the Conquest expansion? IIRC, marshes and volcanoes were only added in Conquests.

Apparently, there are two different editors with the program pack I got.

There are 3 different versions of Civ3: vanilla (original), play the world (ptw), and conquests. The latter two are expansions that can be added to the original and to make things more confusing, ptw is included in Conquests.

If you got Complete which has all three I would imagine you have three editors, one for each version of the game (the first two have no advantages over the Conquests one except that they can create scenarios that other non-Conquests players can play).

I prefer the conquests editor, it gives you a mini map so you know what your terrain looks like

In the conquests Editor you just drop down the terrain brush and marshes are there. volcanoes too. I assume you are looking at the Vanilla one.

...and a whole lot more. The Conquests editor is by far the best.
