Hello everyone and welcome to the part five of the 3 civs you wan't to see in Civ VI, this time revolving around the only part of Asia I haven't dealt with : Eastern Asia, going from Northern China to the ASEAN south, from the Himalaya in the West to Japan from the east.
Poland has been added as a DLC, but that doesn't mean you don't want more civs, especially in some empty parts of the world.
As always, the rules are simple : vote for the 3 civs you most want and don't hesitate to discuss, comment and explain your choices. In the end of the game, we'll see which civs were the most voted, and we'll discuss the results.

I truly thank everyone for your participation !

If you want to vote in the former polls, here are the links to repair your mistake !

I vote Korea, Siam/Thailand and Vietnam

if Firaxis want new SE Asian civ as DLC instead of Khmer, Siam and Indonesia, I hope Vietnam will be chosen

I voted Korea, Khmer, and Indonesia.

Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Tibet, and Philippines would be nice as well

I voted for Korea, Khmer and Vietnam.

I think none of these should be them as a modern country, but as their traditional empires, in the medieval period.
Korea is a long time favourite, and definitely deserves being in there. But would there be problems with putting Khmer because of its history in the 20th century?

Well, the khmer in civ IV, so I don't think it would be troublesome. Besides, saying that the Khmer may cause trouble because of their recent history would be like saying that Germany should not be added because of the nazi regime in the XXth century : a part of a nation's history must not reflect its whole past. The Khmer, despite Pol Pot's regime, were the major power house during the SE Asia middle-ages, Angkor Thom being at a point the most populous city in the world with nearly 1 million inhabitants.

Voted Korea, Siam/Thailand, and Khmer. The last choice was hard for me as I liked Indonesia in Civ V but I love Khmer architecture.

Korea, Siam, Khmer and I would like Indonesia too.

We will probably see another Chinese dynasty represented by a different leader and I would love to see that!

Vietnam, Vietnam, Vietnam. I love TPangolin and Colonialist Legacies' work in Civ 5, but please no modern era Viet Kong-ish UU. Something medieval, like a super scout or even a boat perhaps.

( lol I also voted for Philippines and Korea)

Ok, so the most interesting poll has arrived :) these are my picks!

Indonesia: Seriously underrated civ, Indonesia has been a major political player in S-E Asia for centuries, has an utterly cool story (complete with Game of Throne-esque prophecies!) and it has an incredibly unique culture that blends Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism into a wonderfully rich whole.

Khmer: One of the biggest, if not the biggest empire on Earth, the Khmer's empire feats are of an scale unimaginable for its time, and it has influenced a far bigger region than its current modern-day sucessor state. The fact that it could also help to bring some really cool mechanics with Civ 6's district and housing system makes me eager to see what it could be done with it

Vietnam: I have been thorn between Vietnam and Thailand, but since Siam was present in Civ 5, I think that it is time for a change. Vietnam has a far more extensive and interesting history than its modern war against the United States, being a bitter rival of China for centuries and developing some truthly unique customs and traditions such as the beautiful water puppet theater.

I voted Korea, more China, and Other.

Korea: Not much to say here. Korea has a prominent history in East Asia, and with Civ6's more versatile depictions of civs I'd like to see them depicted as more than just a science monster like they were in Civ5. In particular, I think they could get some cultural bonuses, and perhaps something economical/industrial related to the fact that the Koreans were regarded, even by the Chinese, as the premier makers of celadon.

More China: Always more China. I don't think Qin Shi Huang was a bad choice, but he was an incredibly safe choice. Give us a more interesting emperor.

Other: A Siberian Culture: I think it would be interesting to include one of the reindeer-herding peoples of Siberia, simply because they've never been included before, they could have interesting abilities relating to bonuses from tundra and snow, and they have as much reason to be included as, say, the Polynesians. The Khanty, Nenets, Evenks, Manchu, or Chukchi would all be reasonable proposals.

No interest in Southeast Asia?

No interest in Southeast Asia?
Not really. No disrespect intended, but Southeast Asia has never really captivated my interest. I have a keen interest in China (though one I haven't explored as deeply as some of my interests), and I have an interest in Korea because I lived there for a few years, but my strongest interests reside in West Asia (i.e., the "Near East"), Medieval Western Europe, and Pre-Columbian North America. That's not to say I wouldn't be interested if they added a Southeast Asian civ (as long as it's not a modern one--I have an aversion to modern civs), but it wouldn't interest me as much as something else might.

Excellent motivation. I voted exactly the same.

I voted for Indonesia, Korea, and Vietnam. Vietnam fills the role of Siam and Khmer previously because I'd like to see something new. That being said, I'd really love to have Vietnam, Siam, Khmer, and Pagan all in the game.

That's a bit my problem with the civilization series : why can we have almost every european nation, but we have to choose between 1 or 2 civs in another space (I'm not complaining on having european civs, I don't mind at all, it's just frustrating to have to choose between such great and deserving civs like the Khmer, Thailand, Indonesia, Burma, Vietnam, and so on ...) ?

I voted for Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.

Runners up would be Indonesia, Khmer and Tibet (the game wouldn't sell in China if they would include Tibet, but... meh.).

Even though I am a Filipino, I wouldn't want a Philippines civ. Manila as a city-state would be fine, thank you.

Speaking of Philippines, why not a poll for colonial nations too? I mean, Brazil is in the game.
