VoxPopuli Modpacks (Designed to be used primarily in multiplayer) Last update: 5.1.3

There is a rather annoying bug that I don't think has a workaround -- there's no way to get Great Works of Music out of Opera Houses, as they aren't displayed on the Great Works screen. Here is an example (perhaps, this also replicates for other GW types):

Hence you can get very weird numbers here, e.g. on the screenshot below the cities have 1 GW, but none are shown on the screen. Yet on hover I can see that it's a great work of music, and I can see it in the city screen. However, when I click to move it, the GW screen opens up, and... well, it's not possible to move it out, it seems

This works for me... it is in one of older comments.

You have to change the map options inside a file.
To do it you have to go inside the modpack folder "ZMP-MODsPACK" or "MP_MODSPACK"
Then you go inside "Override" folder.
Then you have to open "CIV5Units.xml" using a text editor.
Search for the map size you want to play (following this example: "WORLDSIZE_HUGE") by using the CTRL+F function.
Change the line "<DefaultPlayers>12</DefaultPlayers> " by "<DefaultPlayers>22</DefaultPlayers> ".
Save the file.

Will it be integrated into this multiplayer modpack? Is it planned? Is it just unsuitable in some ways?

Hi,

I am not sure that this modmod is MP compatible.
Because even base VP isn't completely stable in MP I prefer to let it alone or with modmods that have been tested in MP.
 
Is it possible for you guys to add a recent modpack for CP only if you think it stable? Would it also be possible for an updated modpack whenever the VP modpacks get updated too? Me and my friends play CP only and recentely had to downgrade from 4.19.1 because it was either weirdly stable or wildly desynced :|

So, I have to install this modpack plus the regular VP installation in order to be able to play Multiplayer?

Vp 5 is still beta. The modpack is the spearhead of multiplayer of the beta. Moreover, you are the one of the very first that download and test it.

With 3-level of frontier explorer, it is quite reasonable to expect some bugs, and the persons like you are players who will contribute most by playing and testing them before anyone else. Thanks.

I don't know what 3-level of frontier explorer is but I have posted bug reports before. I don't know how many users here play CP only, probably not that many but I don't really care for VP. IMO for a newcomer, it's a bit confusing having VP feedback bundled with CP. From my POV splitting both into 2 separate areas would organize it a bit but... that's me 🤷‍♂️ modpack availability is alsoa problem. The gDrive repo on this thread doesn't have a lot of CP modpacks,the last is 4.19.1 but there's a 5 beta already. I get CP mpacks are probably not a priority but I'd gladly provide more feedback if there were more up-to-date modpacks available for CP.
 
Hello, first of all thank you guys for the modpacks, the community patches and VP ! We started to play multiplayer games (on the 5.0.0b version for now, we will update to 5.01 soon) with my brother and this is a blast. We encounter somme desync issues and some errors that we will report on the GitHub !

For some reason, Events do not work with the modpack
Interesting. I wouldn’t know why to be honest. It’s the simplest, most straightforward modpack really. Since I’m not using events, I didn’t notice this. But thanks for the heads-up! You did turn them on when setting up the game I suppose.
 
In BigPack (or other packs using USnF if there's any), is there a way to switch unit scaling from single unit to vanilla? Or maybe there's a pack with Hokath's Proposals etc in it but without USnF?
