Of course, here is a download link:5/6 UC is probably not multiplayer compatible.
Can you send me the modpack so I can test ?

I have a resynchronisation each turn, something is definitely not compatible with MP.Of course, here is a download link:

Hi!
I’m playing Civilization V in Hot Seat mode using CP Only: Modpack version 4.19.1. This might be a coincidence, but I noticed a very big difference in AI behavior between different playthroughs and wanted to ask for clarification.
In our first game on this version, everything felt great. The AI civilizations put up very strong resistance and used their Great Generals very effectively, even cutting off our resources with forts. Genghis Khan and Gandhi were almost superpowers, constantly pressuring our lands and conducting wars very competently — keeping catapults behind infantry, advancing carefully, etc.
For context:
- I was playing as Byzantium
- We did not start the first war ourselves
- The only victory condition enabled was Domination
However, in two new games, when I decided to play as Alexander and start early expansion and wars myself, the experience was completely different. It felt extremely easy. Even in later eras, civilizations I was approaching had almost no serious armies — just 3–4 units that could barely pose any threat.
So my question is:
Is it possible that the AI needs more time to develop and becomes much weaker if the player starts wars too early?
Or could this indicate that something is not working correctly with CP in these subsequent games?
I’d really appreciate any insight or explanation. Thanks a lot for your work on the mod!
Not a mod or a dev, but personally also experienced that behaviour before in multiplayer. At the time me and my friends thought that was related to the lowered aggression of certain CIVs. Maybe due to personality? So sometimes we'd mix some aggressive civs like Zulu, French, Mongolia, etc. Maybe that could be it?

Would encourage you to try the latest 5.1.2 and see how it went? It's been very stable in SP and overall in MP, the AI seems also more balanced, even the less agro ones. We stopped adding agro CIVs. Mainly tested with 2 player multiplayer + AIs, but so far it's been a better experience. And also Raging Barbarians are raging a lot more![]()
Not necessary, the thing is that sometimes different MAP folder between players can cause desyncs. One more question: when I remove the mod, it says that I need to restore the old Maps folder. Is this only necessary if I installed additional content like custom maps, or do I need to do this every time I want to install a new version of the mod?
there you can find the latest too. Thanks for the clarification and the links! Much appreciated@Verius
Just to complement on Agiwans info, that link is straight to VP if you want to give it a go. Since you're using CP only the actual folder with VP and CPs you can also find here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Sv2p7jq2TaZNqtuuVFf3bJc_bCPgIEW_ and CP only modpacks on CP Only folderthere you can find the latest too.
If Playing multiplayer and not hotseat don't forget to clean the cache everytime you start the game.
Ok, I will try it with the next release which will also have a lot of desyncs fixes.
Yes, only for VP (for supersettler)This will be VP only right? From what I dug up there's no supersettler for CP only?
I think that will be the case with the next update, 5.1.3 (or 5.2?). Several major desynchronization issues will be fixed, and the timer might even be usable!I can't wait for the day that Agiwan confirms that civ vp "5.something" is more MP stable than civ vp "4.last".
