1. The installer may be misdiagnosed as a virus. In this case, please add the installer to your antivirus program's exception list.
2. There is an issue where the Korean text for the GPP Rate (Great Person Appearance Rate) is not displayed during the Charbag translation.
3. Intermittent crashes occur when switching between strategic view modes.
4. When including the Future Era mode and pressing the victory conditions button at the beginning of the game, Civilization V becomes unresponsive for over 5 minutes.
5. When multiple modes are mixed, some bonuses and Archaeology may appear duplicate in research tree.
According to the oldest record, this project started with jiin1017's VP_Kr created on October 12, 2020, and was renamed vp_kr by rhprhp-204, which was forked by hyuckkim and became today's vp_kr with the help of Janissaryless Osman, Chelkonggaru, and racraky.
Now that Civilization V has become a classic and forgotten, the number of people working on the project has increased and decreased, and it was managed by hyuckkim, who was the last remaining, until he officially announced a temporary suspension of translation on July 2, 2024, when he enlisted in the military.
However, he continued to translate up to VP 4.15.2 on October 29, 2024, and continued to fix missing parts and reports until December 12. On February 15, 2025, hyuckkim fixed the automatic installer creation on GitHub after a long time, and 8 days later on the 23rd, HANDANI started the modpack that merged the Korean mod 4.15.2 into VP 4.19.1, and migrated to version 4.19.1, and continued to make modifications to the current version.
Continuing development for over a decade, the mod has become so popular that it's practically an unofficial replacement for the now-defunct Civilization V.
An Overhaul mod is a complete overhaul of the entire game. Vox Populi completely changes every aspect of Civilization V, including technologies, the culture tree, units, civilization traits, advancements, and battle strategies.

Hello. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in VP Korean+. We have been translating various VP mods (or compatible Civilization V mods) to provide a broader experience.
However, many of you have recently expressed concerns about the usability and stability of some translated mods, and have requested that we focus on core mods.
After careful consideration and consideration, we have concluded that rather than maintaining all mods,it is better to focus on providing a more satisfying experience for a wider audience through selective selection and focus.
Therefore, we have decided to remove some mods from the modpack that we have determined to be of low utility. This decision was a difficult one, as it was made to provide a better experience.
We sincerely apologize to anyone who may be disappointed, and we ask for your understanding. Going forward, we will actively incorporate your feedback and focus our efforts on improving the translation quality of core content that many of you are looking for.

Q1. What exactly are the mods being discontinued this time?
A. Modpack compressed files will be discontinued. Also, some (approximately half) of the additional mods included in the modpack installer will be removed.
Remain Mods:
- Mods directly or indirectly related to VP
- UI Convenience Enhancement Mods available in modpacks.
- Future Age for VP
- Enhanced Air Warfare 4VP
- Enlightenment Era for VP
Q2. What about the mod installation files?
A. No mods are excluded from the mod installation files. We've added a warning message to the installation items and full installation to create a modpack-like environment.
Q3. Why are you suddenly removing mods from the modpack?
A. We apologize for any sudden decision you may have made. This decision was made to address the low usability and frequent bugs of some mods, which users have consistently raised, and to focus our limited resources on core mods that users want. We appreciate your understanding as part of our strategy of selection and focus to provide higher-quality modpacks.
Q4. I'm disappointed that a mod I really need is included in the modpack exclusion list. Is there a solution?
A. We sincerely apologize to those who have been using it. While we currently have no plans to restore the exclusion of mods, we are open to reconsidering them in the future if community opinion changes or new circumstances arise. Q5. Which mods will you prioritize for translation in the future?
A. Going forward, we plan to prioritize translation of VP core mods and updates to existing mods.

Here you can get the latest version of Vox Populi mod. The latest version will be at the top, and if you click ▶ Assets in the latest article, it will change to ▼ Assets and the files will appear below it. Among these, the one in the format of Vox.Populi.versionname.exe is the installation file. You can download this and install it.
Normally, you can just keep clicking Next to complete the installation, but if you do not want to install the EUI or want to add 43 civilization selections, you will be given a choice along the way, so you should not just click Next. If Civilization V is not installed in the default path, you will be asked to select the location where Civilization V is installed at the end, so you need to find where you installed it.

Mods and modpacks are installed in that path by default. Delete everything in the mod installation path and delete all folders like: MP_MODSPACK, UI_bc1, VPUI, UI_CustomModScreen, UI_SukMainMenu, Artful Textures or VT at Modpack installation path.

According to the official VP modpack creator, whenever you play multiplayer, you should empty all the contents of the cache folder below. This will allow you to play a clean new game and reduce the possibility of problems.

Whenever you create a modpack, an InGame.lua file is created in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC\MP_MODSPACK\Mods\(1) Community Patch\Core Files\Overrides folder based on the default path. This file contains basic Civilization V UI information, and it is listed in the Overrides (forced overwrite) section, so the UI that should be displayed as the VP EUI appears as the basic Civilization V UI. So you have to delete this before distributing it to complete the modpack.
However, I often make the mistake of forgetting and leaving this out. If this file still exists in the modpack, you can delete it and it will work normally. But, be careful when deleting it because the InGame.Lua file exists in other folders besides the path mentioned above, so if you delete it incorrectly, it will not work properly, so please make sure to check the path.

This is a problem that also exists in the original VP's modpack, You cannot use the map built into VP. This is only possible if you copy the maps in VP to the maps folder in Civilization V. You can also enjoy other maps by putting them in the map folder of Civilization V.

If you want to create your own modpack, install all the mods you want to make into a modpack on a cleanly installed Civilization V and follow the instructions in the article above.
And before creating a modpack, you should disable all the advice-related functions in the Civilization V game settings. The FireTuner's Lua console window will endlessly spam errors saying that there is a problem with pPlayer in the TutorialChecks.lua file, so you cannot input the console itself.
And when you type CreateMP() in the console window, you have to type it somewhere that is not visible because you cannot see what you are typing. Click once on the black console screen, press the Tab key once, type CreateMP(), and press Enter. It will proceed automatically. Just wait until it says done at the end.
If your modpack has a mod that modifies the UI, there is one file that you need to delete from the completed modpack folder. Go to the path below based on the default path and delete the “InGame.lua” file.

I remember the VP localization project was stopped. I thought maybe the Korean translation could help other translators who want to translate the latest VP. Also, I wanted to leave a record and let you know that there are still Koreans who play VP.
