So, where is the next official podcast detailing the Modding system that 2K Elizabeth promised on Polycast episode 100? It has been over two weeks since that recording and she said that they had just finished recording it, like, the day before. Inquiring minds want... no... NEED to know!!!

Polycast 98 was recorded July 17 (stated in the last several seconds of each episode), and released August 14. That's 4 weeks, and #100 is probably going to be a BEAR to edit due to the varying quality of the incoming calls.

Patience, grasshopper. ;)

OTOH, can someone please drug me for about 5 weeks? I'm having difficulty waiting for the FIVE.

I wasn't referring to Polycast... I was referring to the Podcast from Take 2/Firaxis. During the live taping of the 100th episode of Polycast, when 2K Elizabeth was asked about the modding tools, she stated that they had just finished recording a segment that goes into depth about modding. It has been over two weeks now and still nothing. The time between the previous podcasts has been no longer than 10 or 11 days. It had already been that long when she mentioned it and has now been an additional two weeks.

Patience wears thin!

It's been 3-1/2 weeks since the last Toby podcast, and I had gathered they were already in the pipeline. I've already posted elsewhere asking Greg if they'd been suspended. I wonder if that 20-person layoff had an affect on the podcasts.

Meanwhile, just 5 more weeks to go (and maybe a demo before that, even)!

wow, 4 weeks from recording to release? that is a looong time for editing.

Depends on what else you have on your plate, how many hours of material you have to distill down to about 1 (they are usually 45 minutes, but this may be longer).

I guess Greg didn't reply?!? Elizabeth apologized for teasing us about the modding info, which was fine at the time... but this wait is just agonizing, especially since we know what the next topic is going to be about and it is something that many of us are anxious to learn more about... modding!

Before modding is becoming familiar with the game mechanics & dynamics. Enjoy the game for a few weeks first. :)

That is all fine, but learning the modding tools will help plan for better mod development. Plus, the modding tools are very close to a make or break system for me when it comes to Civ V. With IV, I was very disappointed as to how they claimed it was the most moddable Civ, only to find out that it was true only if you are a programmer. I want some good tools and editors for the rest of us.
