Waking a Unit Garrisoned in City

OK, call me an idiot, but how do you wake a unit garrisoned in a city? Can't seem to double click or select this unit either directly or through the military advisor?

What am I doing wrong?

One thing you can do is click on the symbol in the city banner.

If you look at your city you'll have an icon of whatever unit is garrisoned in your city. If you click that it will allow you to move him around.

Kind of weird but I got used to it.

BTW, I was playing in the "strategic" or "tactical" view (whichever, I forget)...

and that's the one thing I couldn't figure out how to do... wake a garrisoned unit. I had to go back to the main screen to get that done.
