I believe that after you declare independence, your flags should change to the same color scheme but with a star, like the American Flag in civ. Or, if we can be really technical, make it so there is a star on the flag for each colony, up to about 20. What do you think?

yeah, like star=english colony, french might be appropriate for tricolor, or the Haiti flag or Quebec flag? we can have either the flag of Mexico or Grand Colombia for Spanish, and i don't really know for the Dutch cause frankly I haven't studied their history.

atleast change the colors. not every country declaring independance uses a red, white, & blue color scheme.
