Okay, I have nearly finished the first War of the World (Mars) I'm ready to to start my 2nd one. This one will be about Venus. Before you say how unrealistic this is I want you to know a few details about the 'civilization' on Venus:

The Venusians are ruled by a female dominated dictatorship. They are the reason that Venus is so polluted (aka acid rain, CO2, and huge pressure).

They get around wearing a pressureized suit (like the skakoans off of Star Wars), and they use very, very powerful guns as weapons. Their war tanks use 10 inch Carbon Plating to resist the heat and pressure, which come in handy on Earth.

I haven't hardly a clue on anything else. Please give me some suggestions. :crazyeye:

How unrealistic!! :dubious:

J/K :p

Jupiter HAS to be in this one right? Please? Pleeease??

OK, I might do one with those Joinianssasians in it (or however you spell it).

They need giant death rays and huge dark blue mechs that shoot lasers and destroy everything in their path. To reach Earth they use huge motherships that surround Earth's cities and bombard them. Space fighters in deformed shapes should be used as foot units to destroy enemies. There's so much you can think of.

Jupanites should have large Death Tanks that shoot laser missles and explode everything. Their soldiers are heavily armed and have extremely powerful blasters. I would say more, but I have to go.

Jovioids sound cooler.

Besides, since Jupiter has no solid land (gas giant), their military has to be completly space and air forces. No land, because there is no land on Jupiter! :D

And for Venus, their stuff must be heavily armored, acid resistant, and basically immune to heat rays.

That´s right!!!:goodjob:

*points to brain* Creativity. :D

I agree with Bluemofia now. Jupiter's stuff is hovering craft. :p

Well, I guess I'm doing two of these. :D

@Bluemofia, The Venusians use 10 inches of pure carbon fiber to withstand the pressure and heat. Seeing that Venus has about a 400 Celsius temperature and 90 atmospheres of pressure, this seems accurate.

Oh, and about Jupiter. I was thinking of making them lifeforms that migrated from Jupiter's moons, and they have floating cities and stuff like that. They also can release a 'Bomb' that is full of Jupiter's gases which suffocates their enemies.

BTW what does Jovioid mean anyway (besides a being from Jupiter).

Sorry, Jupiter's mostly Hydrogen and Helium. That doesn't do too much damage/suffocation. They are lighter than air gasses, so they tend to float upwards.

Jovian means the planets past the asteroid belt that are gas giants. (hence the term Jovian Planets for Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, and the Jovian moons for their 75+ moons.) It means Jupiter like in Latin, because Jupiter is Jove in Latin.

I just simply took Jovian and converted it to Jovioid.

EDIT: And if you google search Jovioid, you will find my old attempts to make an RPG, and the Jovioids are a sillicon based race that look like bipedial crystaline creatures that look like this:

And they are a miner race (yes, miner, the people that mine minerals and stuff) and basically have shotgun type weapons.

OK, I got it. :D

BTW the gas bomb would flatten the land with the pressure change, and then maybe a "mysterious element unknown to Earth" could hold it down, thus suffocation. :D Oh, wait. :(

hehe

Well, not really. The pressure change won't actually do anything dramatic compared to the explosion needed to spread it over a large area and rapidly replace the normal atmosphere. The best you can do, is just to react the hydrogen with oxygen in the air. Very volitate reaction.

OK here's an idea. The Methane is extremely high pressured. When it hits is whips out the area (house and stuff like that). Then an unknown element (we'll call it Jovidium) 'holds' down the Methane while 'holding up' the oxygen. This element seperates the oxygen and difflects the wind. Then when the people are dead the Jovians spray the area with super-heated steam, blowing away the "Jovidium". :)

BTW this isn't supposed to destroy the entire atmosphere, just one small area.

Methane? Why don't you just burn the methane with the oxygen? Make people into dancing torches! :D

Now that you mention it I have a better, and more logical way of thinking:

The bomb drops, exploding, and the methane burns, frying the people. Then the remnants of the Methane slowly rise, but it takes about an hour for this to happen, so it suffocates the Earthlings.

There. :D

Actually Yes, I could use one for this and my other (the original). I need a picture of alien saucers right in Earth's atmosphere.

Kinda like this (excluding the view from the Cockpit):
