    I should rephrase that.

We would appropriate that settler for Angle, but we would need to get another settler for Blocker. Where would we find that settler.

Which is Blocker? The one south of Orchid Oolong? I thought OO was building one for that?

Of the two wonders, I think that GLH is more important, since it lasts longer. On the other hand, someone might finish it before us, making the whole thing moot.

well... we could put the settler from OO to blocker and pick up another later for the pig site down south. Angle gives us pigs, so we don't really have to worry about them.

I guess the questions in my mind are: Do we go conservative, cause we think we are better than our opponents and can catch up? Conservative would be to drop GLH and build settlers/units, in my mind.

    I'm ok with either way.

I just heard something interesting - orange carrots were bred to be that color in honor of William of Orange.

    Ok so the compromise:

We are building GLH in IS.

CK is buildign a spear. When that spear is done if Angle hasn't grown we need another settler.

So Angle has 2 more turns to grow. (barbs have 2 moves before our build needs to be decided.)

We could still stuff the settler build into IS if we need to, it just delays the GLH by a few turns after the Mids IIRC.

Also delays teh settling of the blocking city by an additional 2 turns compared to getting the settler from Blocker. That's 2 turns later to 20% culture defence, 2 turns later to the extra LoS from the borders on the hills...that's alot.

If Angle doesn't grow in 2 turns, we're razing it and getting a settler from CK to resettle it?

Or is the settler to get the blocker city up?

    current settler builds blocker.

if it doesn;t grow in 2 turns after the spear CK has to build a settler for angle.

No, the current settler should go to Angle; build a new settler for blocker (my this is going to be a fun argument).

Memphus has raised the point that with the extra barbs, we are going to have difficulty taking and holding Angle, even if we raze and replace.

It should be safer now from Kaz as well, as the extra warrior means they would have to take 2 70% chances to raze the city.

Memphus feels that we should settle blocker this turn. I concur, but I'll let him give the reasoning...

My logic is pretty simple really:

Sending a settler into that mess is insane. So might as well get closer to more LoS from Blocker.

BTW name rights to angle for whoever can logically tell me what this pictures shows:

    Spoiler :

Also As Krill Said Kaz can't take that city now. They are most likely backing off and waiting for us to take the brunt of the barbs.

    Works for me.

We really need horse archers - I figure 4-6 turns for the first cat to roll off the lines, and another 4-10 turns for it to get here.

I agree we should settle blocker this turn.

We just need more units than we originally hoped we would need. We still have a huge advantage over Kaz, and just need to keep the pressure on them.

Now that CK has finished the worker, what should it build next?

Ideally IMO, this city gets us all of our military in the short to medium term for the SW, so maybe a barracks? After that it can just pump longbows.

Barracks was instinctually added to the queue. Kaz obviously has a barracks. and it only takes 2 turns....

    Good plan!

Should we grow it some? It's way under the happy limit, with gems, gold and silver.
