Fellow Generals, Marshals and Admirals this is the Supreme Commanders War Room. Here I will lay out the Basics of the warplan for both fronts. Then we can discuss our overall strategy and look at any and all suggestions from the military minds of Arete.

The Babylonian Campaign

The plan is basic and effective. We crush through Mari on our way to the Capital. The cannons will devistate the will of the enemy. Our Riflemen and elite medieval soldiers will clean up the mess left behind. Then my friends we raze the Muslim Holy City and finish off Lincoln for good. The Edorai reinforcement is under the guise that some units aren't needed in New Arkadia.

Mayan Defense Force

The naval block may buy us the 1-2 turns we desperatley need. Time to draft and reinforce the region is the key to saving our city(s). I made a mistake earlier when I said Santiago was 3 turns from Seville. The upgraded rifleman from Santiago will be 3 turns away and able to defend Seville if we can deter them landing for 1 turn. There are alot of variables here so the strategy will be evolving after each turn.

We do this for a higher purpose, the entire eradication of Islam. For all purposes, the game is already won, let us just enjoy the rest of the journey!

The Campaign is is almost over. Operation "Steamroll" has been a complete success. 2 out of 3 cities have been captured with only one cannon lost so far. Lincoln will be finished in 3 turns.

The joint operations between the Kings Army and Navy was also a great success. The Invaders were decimated by our Cannons and all 1st Armada Ships were sunk by our mighty Frigates. Sadly Provos' Epic was sunk but not before he sunk one unit full Galleon from a 2nd Armada and one empty one from the first Armada. A third Armada (4 Galleons 2 caravels) is lurking in the fog of war. After threatening Kassite they disappeared, 2 Frigates are hunting them down.

Spoiler :

Possible 3rd Armada

A Galleon strays too far from her Escort and Provos' Epic makes them pay.

Provos' Final Epic

Basic Reinforcement Battleplan

Upgrade Eshnush Rifles to Infantry before ending the 1st turn.
Deploy the 2 Knights from Kassite to Eshnush.
Move 2 Rifles and 1 Cannon from Kassite to town 1S,2W of Mari.
Deplay 2 Knights from Cordoba to hill 3 East of Kassite.
Move Cycs Rifle Division and the Cannon from between Kassite and NG to plains W of Mari.
Deploy War Elephant and Cannon from Mari to Eshnush.

After ending the turn the situation must be reassessed depending on where the 4th Armada goes/lands. All of the units moved will be able to reinforce Eshnush if the armada lands. The division from Borsippa will be poised to reinforce Opis should the Armada head north. Once the armada is dealt with the majority of the reinforcement forces should remain to beef up our defenses.

I would be a bit wary for moving units out of kassite? in the south west of the picture as that could be the target. Otherwise, it's a great plan :goodjob:

If you read the plan thoroughly you can see that the Kassite units will be in position to support either city. The foot soldiers will be directly between Kassite and Eshnush and the Kinghts will be moved to Eshnush, both can return to Kassite next turn if the armada heads south. This plan merely covers the moves before the turn is ended. After that you will have to adapt to Justinians next move.

if you make peace now, you get money (500+) , then we can attack when ready.

Joe is right, peace now would only help us...

It really depeneds on how soon we want to attack, and how prepared we are for the invasion.

As I have said before, I am personally for it, but if we don't plan on going to war in the next 10-15 turns, maybe peace might be the way to go, especially as the majority of the recent posters insisted on defending first before we send anyone out.

So what do we all think about taking peace?

I would, because then we don't have to fight the coming Armada, although they will keep those troops for later on, as lon as we prepare well, they should be no problem, and we get 500 gold which given our current finances, would be quite useful.

From the 4th P-F Debate-

I know Provo, but I have to clear up an misconceptions about the Federation. The Faction will merely represent the citizenry, if the citizens want war, then war it is, if they want peace and prosperity then so be it.

This is where I still stand. I will bring the issue to a vote in the Assembly. If TCN calls for the Peace Treaty then it will need only a majority vote to pass. If he does not then it will need a unanymous vote.

If we make peace, we will have to face the Armada's troops in the future, possibly in another attack.

If defenses can be updated after peace and builds can be carried out to rebuff the infrastructure, then it would be best to call peace.

So mainly, it rests on our ability to create a strong defense and a rebuffed economy in a time frame of about 10-20 turns from now. Under these terms, I will call for peace and bring it up to the Assembly.

I am personally agianst a peace then attack plan. We have a blanket for their armada that is far above the force ratio needed. 500 gold is not worth the war weariness that will be added to the cost of a full-scale invasion. Our Civics are inline with building infrastructure and not units. Either we make peace or make Justinian pay for his assault. Delaying 10-20 turns will make little difference IMO.

Yup. I'm with LC. Either sink the 4th Armada and then breach the Mayan beaches with your assault, or declare and stay at peace. One or the other.
