Has anyone seen war support getting bumped deeper into a conflict by the AI far surpassing their ability to acquire influence? No wonders were built, no IPs were gained, my war against Buganda was flat at 0 then went to negative 3. We're about 10 turns into war and they have 12 tokens of war support now so that should be a couple hundred influence at least. Is there another mechanic I'm missing?

Other leaders can pour their Influence into wars they aren’t fighting. Also, you gain a substantial amount of Influence from losing a Settlement to conquest. Both of these help to inflate the AI’s war support.

Ahhh, I bet this must be it. So steamrolling through their cities is accumulating influence for them. Tubman is a tough conquer, she was up to 16 by the time I finished off her Civ. Thank you!

I've seen that, but didn't fully understand it. "Another leader has opposed your war", I always figured that was my enemy adding support. When I saw, "Another leader has supported your war", and my war support goes UP, that was a pleasant surprise.
