Warlords 2.08 PBEM proposed

I have paused for the moment, in case what I am seeing is a bug....

I'm trying to trade from the F4 diplo screen.

If I recall correctly, you right click on, say, Roosevelts face,
and this brings up the trading screen,
with their stuff on the left,
your stuff on the right,
and Roosevelt's face in the middle.

With about 3 or 4 of the other tribes, this works fine.
They may trade, they may not, but that is explicit....

However, with a couple of them,
the trading screen comes up with no face in the middle,
and after clicking on various options,
followed by make offer,
the screen just closes.

There is no 'you'll have to do better than that type stuff'
I cannot even make gifts.

Is this a bug?
Relations are cautious, positive with all of them, so no-one is annoyed.
Even the Japanese will talk, although of course they don't want to trade anything...

What say you?

Crap. The BTS 3.13 patch has changed Warlords. Getting the protected game message again. It's too late at night for me to deal with it right now. Will get to it soon.

I read somewhere that the BTS 3.13 patch changes Warlords as well. It was confirmed in my mind when I had the same problems with the PBEM after applying the BTS 3.13 patch as I did after applying Warlords' 2.13. I don't know how to proceed from here. Somebody else has to have had this same problem. If I can't find anything I'll likely ask for help in the Multiplayer forum.

Heihojin has had the same problem.

Only solution is, I fear...
backup/rename your newly patched environment (which is only good for bts 3.13)
and point desktop icons to the renamed directories.

Then reinstall Civ4 and Warlords, then patch them to 1.74, 2.13

For minimum diskspace...

Uninstall everything.

Install Civ4 / Warlords, patch to right level.
Rename diretories, and repoint icons.

Run uninstall - removes registry entries - can't find software since you renamed the directories.

Install Civ 4 / BTS, patch to 3.13.
