Warlords graphics bug, missing models as units heal?

Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just me? Take a warrior unit, have it fight stuff til it's hurt and only one or two warrior models of the full three are left, let the unit heal back to full, and the missing dudes don't respawn until/unless you save the game and load the save?

Happens for me in pure vanilla Warlords so I know it's not caused by a mod. Is there a solution yet or will I have to make one?
