Warlords: Trading with my vassal...

...turns out to be a cash-cow.
Stalin's my vassal, I'm selling him cows for 6 gpt. I get back to the trading screen: He now has 7gpt available! I trade fish... and so on and so on... I did that several times - attached you find a screenshot of our agreements...

Must be a bug or Stalin has found the philosopher stone.

I guess this depends on how big the rest of his empire is. If he has still some core cities he will be able to get such an amount of commerce/cash and probably try to buy back the resources he lacks. I do not consider this a bug. Exploitable is another Vassal States Feature: If you're up in tech (as the Master usually will be) you just wait before your Vassal researchs another tech. With some turns left on the research you offer it to him. He will give you all his spare moneyv for it. This is in most cases not much - but hey, 200 gold for a tech he would have researched in 3 turns anyway is not bad...

Nope, that's simply impossible... I left three minor cities to him and he maybe built a fourth one, but that's about it. He's far behind in techs and everything else... And when trading with other AI's you never get these results. BTW, his tech-rate didn't slow down because of trading (can see how long it takes him to get the next tech due to vassalage...

Stilgar: I've noticed the same. All my vassals get loads of money after I have supposedly drained their cash selling them resources. But eventually it comes to a stop. Maybe the AI reorganizes his finances so as to be able to buy more resources from the master. Non-vassals will usually spend but a few pennies on my resources.

I read this thread and tried to do the same with my vassal. i could trade to him 8 different resources for 7 or 8 gold ( total 61 gold). I did have more but now he was broke. Before the trade his researching of Paper cost him 5 turns, after the trade 30 turns. I wonder if this was meant to be....

Yes Asperge, I believe it was meant to be. I recall reading somewhere that the vassal will continue to give you more and more trading funds, but will lower and lower their science percentage in order to fund the trades. If this is a bug or not I do not know.

Researching Machines takes 1 turn for Stalin to complete! I sold him another resources, than he went to 0 gpt , but machines was still researched in one turn...

I waited one turn and it would take him 84 turns to research Machine-building
(Don't know the correct english translation, sorry...) that's 2100 beakers = he still has 25 beakers per turn and he has 3 gpt now - only one deal, then he was broke...

Maybe you're right and that's how it should work but to me that's wrong and too much, thats for sure! Otherwise others stated that vassalage is underpowered.
If this is not a bug vassalage is not underpowered but you totally cripple your vasalls ability to research!
I dunno... Maybe someone who knows what he's talking about can confirm that that's the way it's supposed to be...??

How do you ask your vassal to research a certain tech? I also have noticed how much cash you can get from vassals, right now I'm getting like 40 gpt from Frederick.
