was this the correct response?

its a funny (kinda) story... my friend shows me his current game (he's not a regular player), I laugh at his puny civilisation... i load up mine, to show him how great mine is in my current game, right? BUT... before i even get one turn to show him the might of my economy and armies, the French decide to sprinkle my cities with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!! We had a ceasefire! I never thought the AI would break a ceasefire with THREE NUCLEAR WEAPONS! My friend laughed. As i dont like to reload games where things go wrong, on the very next turn I sent in a bunch of spies i had ready, and nuked three of their towns in retaliation, managing to take one.

Was this the right response? Or should I have not contributed to global warming (the world has been rather clean until now... no nuclear war at all) and all the other crap that comes along with nuclear bombs going off all over the show?

Hmmm. Thats all thats happened so far. Im trying to decide what to do next b4 i go back...!

Simple!
Pollution can be cleaned!
So if the AI dares to do such a thing:

:sniper: KILL ´EM ALL!!! :hammer:

:tank: :tank: :tank:

Strike them down with great vengeance and FURIOUS anger! Whether to use nukes or not is your choice, and it seems you already made that choice. A conventional army would do just as well here, also.

I don't know if using a nuke yourself will deter the AI from using them in the future. There is only one way to make sure the French don't do it again: ELIMINATE THEM! Do it before they have a chance to send more nukes your way - you've seen the strategy here for the one-turn-war, right? I think that's what you need right now.

It's just too bad that doing all this won't strike the fear of God into your other AI opponents.

And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!!
